Came twice. Very very unwelcoming church. Not one person came up to us to say hello without us having to try to initiate conversation and even then we were brushed away. Very cold feeling and feels clicky - everyone has their own little bubbles and doesn't associate outside of it. Songs are hard to get into, old hymns are modernized and the tempo is jacked up. Sermons are all over the place and hard to follow. Not 1 clear pastor but about 7 pastors on staff which is odd especially because the church isn't big enough to negate that many. They're looking to build a $7 million addition because of growing attendance. 9am was really full but 11am was only half/maybe a third full. Why throw so much money towards a new building when a separate service Saturday night would fix the issue? Especially when you're trying to plant a church in horizon. Lots going on in regards to their finances and building other churches, so it seems silly to throw millions of dollars at a new building. Do not feel the spirit here from the people or the preachers. Would not recommend unless you enjoy VOX-like places which is what I would equate this too.

A really wonderful church. Solid biblical teaching, thoughtful worship with a good mix of modern and classic songs. A passionate and precious congregation that has been very welcoming to my family during our time here. Would recommend to those looking to learn more about the Bible through expository preaching, hear a weekly, clear gospel presentation, opportunities to serve or ask questions, there’s really a place for everyone regardless of where you are on your faith journey.

We were visiting family from out of state and went to CGC with them. Solid expositional teaching. Lively community. Parking between services is a bit wonky but understandable. If I lived in the area this would definitely be on my short list of where to connect.

Hands down my favorite place in the world to be at. I actually think it’s funny people are giving this church ratings, including myself. I haven’t attended since since I moved back to Philly, but I miss it. I remember every sermon so clearly, including one that Ricky gave about “the church”. I believe we were reading letters written by Paul and he was talking and giving advice to members of the church. Ricky started by reading us some funny reviews he’d found online that people had written about church’s but quickly, as he always did, we got into studying these bible verses. In summary the service went like this, the church is a group of people ( a family ) who are there to worship Jesus, it’s not supposed to be viewed the same way as picking your fav restaurant. If there are ways your church needs improving it is the MEMBERS of the church who are called to do that. In essence you as a member are charged with creating the best church you can, based off of scripture and love. I think it’s funny to see these comments on here, if there’s something you don’t like about a church why not view it as something you have been called to improve rather than hop on google and discuss how the songs are boring. Anyway, this church really saved me when I didn’t even know I needed to be saved. If you attend you can expect sermons that are packed with actual reading from the Bible, not just a bunch of fake messages that make you feel good. It’s so tough to find a church who still puts the scriptures first. Keep it up everyone!

Joe and Ricky are a great father-son pair who really enjoy making friends and influencing others, nothing untoward about any of CoG.

Beautiful Church Temple. Really good people. Good preachers. I would rate the worship team very low though. Mostly unknown, boring songs that people cannot really get into worshipping God with. And people do not clap or raise their arms in praise to God either, they kind of just sit on their hands. In that respect, a little dead. But i would still recommend Cross of Grace to anyone.

It is very hard to sing when we don't have sheet music or hymnals and we don't know the songs and the praise team isn't on key either. Play more well known songs so we can all get on the same page. Maybe just add 1 new song a month. Just a suggestion.

There are a lot of good people here but the elders make some messed up decisions. They asked my mom to leave too make a long story short because a woman who was close to one of the elders was uncomfortable around my mother. My mom asked if she had done something wrong and they said no. My mom was devastated. They pretend to care about the Bible but not enough to do what it says when it comes to asking people to leave and showing favoritism.
