This is the 150th anniversary of this church. Sunday night we were blessed to have the Southwestern Adventist University Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Dr Rogelio Nunes and choir members under the direction of Dr. Devon Howard present Vivaldi's "Gloria". I can't know if the people who founded the Holy Comforter had a night like this in mind or even dreamed this church would endure for 150 years. Thanks to the talented musicians from the University it as a magical night. It was a perfect evening as the church was filled with music. Dr Howard conducts the choir each Sunday and plays the organ as only someone can do who has studied it since the age of 8. Father Cooper Morelock became the 35th rector of the Holy Comforter in the fall of 2020. He is personable, sincere and greats each member by first name. I first began to attend here this past fall. I was made to feel immediately comfortable. At this point I don't think I would be allowed by Fr. Morelock to leave and would not want to.

Peaceful place to worship in an historic church setting. Welcoming and friendly congregation. On-line worship service is very easy to access, and very important to have during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A small church with a loving heart. The priest Cooper is a kind person The church seems katger on the inside than on the outside which made me think of those people who have such kind and big hearts

I don’t attend this church (I’m Seventh-Day Adventist), but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate hearing the bells on Sunday mornings when the conditions are just right (I live about half a mile away) or my windows are open. It’s such a lovely tradition, and today (Easter Sunday) they felt a little more joyful. I love it. Thank you for making the world just a little more beautiful.
