I had an amazing experience at Charis Church in Killeen. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted so warmly and made to feel genuinely welcome. The message was powerful, encouraging, and truly spoke to my heart. You could feel the Spirit moving throughout the entire service. The atmosphere was uplifting, authentic, and filled with love. I’m so grateful I attended and look forward to coming back!

I started going to this church last June (2025). I love this Church. Is a powerful place. If someone in the area is looking to witness the presence of God or look for refuge in his presence, this is a good place to go. I love my church family. They all have been nice, kind, loving and welcoming to me since the very first time I stepped in the church. If there was more starts I would definitely rate it more than 5 stars!

Worship is awesome!! The kids have a nicely decorated building for them to hear God's word on their level. The people are friendly, treating everyone like family. Café is open between services. Pastor preaches heartfelt messages from the Word of God. Even though it's a big church, there are plenty of opportunities for small groups. Start with watching online, but make sure you come experience it for yourself.

This is my families experience. I solely attend the church to support my wife and daughter. At times my wife needs me to break things down so that way she can better understand them and she just simply feels safer with me there. I am an Army veteran and am extremely aware of my surroundings. Here’s what I’ve picked up on in the 2-3 months we’ve attended. At first this church seems to be filled with friendly people and good vibes. However, from the beginning something just didn’t seem right to me. Before they went to (3) services we had an usher approach us to move inward. I’ve always sat on the end of the row and never had any problem with letting others move inward. However, this usher wasn’t taking no for an answer. It took me telling him that I have ptsd from my military experience and that me and my family are not moving. Pastor Patrick seems like he’s motivated by money and money alone. They play tithing videos before the offerings to entice people to give. One of those videos stated something on the lines of 10% belongs to Jesus. They have a seed sowing Sunday annually. This is where you bring in something you want prayed over. However, that will cost you. The pastor even will convince people to give by telling the crowd about the time he wrote a check for 3k and receive 33k. The pastor always mentions all of these trips he just came back from and all of these steak dinners he’s had. Which makes you wonder what is your tithing even going to. There used to be two ways in and out of the church. Now they blocked off (1) of those ways when you go to leave making it chaotic. They were asking for volunteers since they were going to (3) services. However, they didn’t have the decency to email my wife to tell her they filled all of the spots. Pastor Patrick also tries to keep people at his church by saying things like no church is perfect and just because you switch churches it won’t fix the problem. He plays a lot of mind games that most won’t see, but if you truly pay attention you will see everything that I mentioned above. And more

i went here for a few months and i did not enjoy it in the slightest. i tried my absolute hardest to be connected and feel like i belong there, but its so hard to even start serving. i never spoke to the pastor, he’s never recognized anyone who wasn’t in the main pastor “group” since i started going. he comes on the stage with gucci shoes, and all types of designer and it just makes you wonder where your money is going, and even if our money isn’t going to him to buy designer and treat himself to steak dinners that he constantly talks about, it’s all about being HUMBLE. the messages are so empty and it just feels like motivation rather than learning. i can’t remember one thing ive learned at this church whatsoever.

A truly spirit filled experience. After moving to Killeen, I was looking for a place to praise God, a church where I could truly connect spiritually. I believe I found that place in Charis Church. Every visit has been a moment of deep reflection and genuine connection with God. From the start to the end of each service, you feel an overwhelming sense of peace and presence. The people are incredibly humble and welcoming, and the worship… wow. It’s at a level where you can truly sense that it’s God leading every note and every word. Pastor is undeniably a man of God, guided by the Holy Spirit. His sermons are biblically grounded and deeply moving, not just motivational talk, but true spiritual nourishment filled with love, truth, and hope. I’ve also witnessed his special gift for praying for those in need and the sick. The entire team from worship to service coordination operates with grace and excellence. If you’re looking for a church home or a place to reconnect with your faith, Charis Church is a beautiful place to start.

Charis Church is the most powerful place for me in Killeen. This church has welcomed me with open arms. I absolutely love our church family. I love serving in the church also it has been the best experience and how God has moved in this place is amazing!!!

Didn't even make it inside . People there are so rude. A lady almost backed right into my family and kept going. I was trying to change my daughter's diaper really quick and she was so impatient then proceeded to stand at my window & not let us leave. Horrible church experience on Easter Day.

It's such and honor to be in a church that I can worship God freely. Psalms 150 teaches me to be glad when I come into his house of the Lord Psalms150 -2 praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. This encourage me to acknowledge and celebrate who he is and what he's done. It's personal it's God who done the mighty acts and God is surpass Greatness. He is the creator of all things. I cherish the moment God presence and his effects still moves today.

Today’s service was amazing. Having the children, dancing, singing and listening to the Pastor Patrick’s message concerning Jesus being the reason that we celebrate; blessed everyone in attendance. My heart was overflowing with joy during the entire service today. Seeing the multitude of children up on the platform, put a smile on my face that is still. I thank God for the amazing and anointed work that He is doing here at Charis Church.
