God used Celebration church to change my life. I am eternally grateful for this church and for wonderful community of people I’ve met here. I’ve built my strongest friendships here, was married and baptized here, found support for my family and found ways to serve and give back. I can’t rate it highly enough, I would give 20 stars if I could. It feels like home.

Let me start by saying this: I had a different perspective about megachurches, and deep down, I'm still on alert about them. That being said, I visited yesterday for the second time. I cannot believe I went for a second time, but if I went twice, it's because the preconceived notion I had about a megachurch dissipated in a blink of an eye when I stepped foot in Celebration. Let me explain why, and you can read if you want to. 1) Well, besides the outstanding organization, I don't agree with the perception some people have that the people receiving you are going to, of course, be nice to you since they're getting paid. I don't know if they're getting paid or not for holding those "are you new" signs, and I don't care, but the person who showed me around and helped me settle was an amazing person—polite, friendly, funny, and so helpful. I guess if he was acting, then he deserves an Oscar. 2) So many people, but somehow I didn't feel lost the minute I entered the sanctuary. The atmosphere in that place makes you want to really praise. Noise? I understand some people are more sensitive than others, so yeah, wear your earplugs. Don't let that keep you from coming in with an open heart. Also, aren't we supposed to be mature Christians? "Music is too loud," "too many lights," "it looked more like a concert," etc. Who cares? We're there to praise the Lord as a body of Christ, to celebrate and be of a grateful heart, to focus on Christ, and to fellowship with others around us. 3) I love that God allowed me to witness 14 baptisms that day. Seeing the tears running down those fellow brothers and sisters, giving it all for Jesus, I wanted to shout (and I did) from the top of my lungs, because that's something worth shouting and celebrating for. The angels in Heaven rejoiced with us!!! 4) Now, this is the most important thing for me: the teaching, the preaching of the Word. This is where I was telling myself: "The moment they start talking about money and prosperity, I am walking away!" Jokes on me, the preacher was so biblically sound and to the point, didn't water down anything, straight to the point. I bit my tongue and praised the Lord again. 5) I went to the front to ask for prayer, and the minister that prayed for me took the time to listen to my request. Thank you for that! This was lengthy, I know. But you need to also know another side of the coin, and I truly ask you to leave preconceived thoughts at home and visit. See for yourself. I left Celebration that day wanting more and my faith in Jesus renewed. So much so, I went back. Only one thing I will say about this second time: I invited some friends, they went, and one lady stayed with my friends' daughter, who was so nervous about going to the Youth service. She stayed with her until she got in the golf cart. She was very sweet and empathetic with her. I kept looking at her holding the "new here" sign, and she looked familiar, but I couldn't pinpoint where I'd seen her before. Well, today I remembered, she was Lori Champion, the Senior Pastor's wife. I was blown away again. I truly wasn't expecting that level of humbleness, to be honest. Usually, in those megachurches, Senior Pastors are rarely approachable. Not in Celebration. Go and see for yourself. Will this feeling I have now last? I don't know. All I know is that, for now, I will keep coming to this church, and will allow the Holy Spirit to lead me and see what happens. Next Sunday, I will attend the Connection meeting... to be continued.

The music was so loud it vibrated your whole body. We had to leave before the actual service began. And we have been to many concerts that wasn't near this loud. I really felt bad for the children. On a positive note it was great seeing so many attending church.

Moved back to this area in June and did a google search nearby for churches. Was just going to scout at least 3, however after going here one time, I felt so at home and around friendly people. I feel welcome every time I come and the pastor is just awesome. I really enjoy my Sunday’s now as I wasn’t raised in Christians household. I look forward to going every Sunday and can’t wait to go. Since I travel out of town I have utilized their online streaming so I can still attend church and get the message for the day. I recently went through the training program to volunteer and feel right at home being around others that enjoy Jesus and God. During the service it’s funny, and an enjoyable time. I’m really glad I found this church as it turns out my girlfriend goes here too, so we get to go to church together :) I highly recommend this church to anyone, it’s worth driving to come here.

Top 10 Things I love about Celebration Church: 1. They have several service times - 9:30 , 11:30, & 5PM 2. They have multiple locations - We all know how Austin traffic can be. Thankfully they have 3 locations spread throughout Austin - Georgetown, Central Austin, and Southwest. 3. The worship is AMAZING, and the presence of the Holy Spirt is so evident. 4. Pastors are authentic, and super humble. No lie, you will often see them walking around the hallways, and the auditorium ( super rare even for a small church) 5. No one gets left behind. There is a small group or everyone! ( There is even one for Jeep owners lol crazy right lol) 6. Everyone is always smiling - no seriously, when i first got here I was like why is everyone so happy lol. but trust me its genuine. 7. Their students ministry is dope! They have this thing called WAVE night - from Parkour to dunk contest- plus worship and a great message. If only I was 10 years younger lol but if you family members 10-27 they will love it!. 8. Leadership development - if you feel called to leadership there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. (One of them is my number 9 ) 9. Celebration Leadership Institute - They have a leadership theology evening program. If you feel called to ministry or leadership even outside of the church there is so much you can learn. Hands down the greatest opportunity to move from a believer to a disciple. They teach you how to fulfill the will of God in your everyday life. 10. And finally. My favorite thing about celebration is the people. In the past two years I have build so many long lasting authentic relationships. People here love you for real. They are the heart beat of the church, the body of Christ. 1 Cor 12:17 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. I can't believe its been 2 years since I walked in these doors for the first time. I grew up in a small town church in Virginia and had strayed away from the church during my teenage/young adult years. I had began to experience depression, low self esteem, and suicidal thoughts. I also began abusing alcohol, and drugs pretty regularly with no real desire to live, often not knowing how I got home. One day after one of my many crying calls to my family back home, a relative sent me a video of Pastor Joe preaching and I thought he was funny. I honestly felt like a church this big there is no way they would notice me. I decided to visit because I figured I could "blend in". Boy did God have other plans! God met me right here and changed my life drastically! I mean face to face, I experienced the love of Jesus. In one night he took away every broken thing I walked in there with, and gave me a new identity. Chosen, and Redeemed. If you are looking for a family, this is your church. If you have ever felt rejected, unloved, unwanted, or unworthy there is a seat for you at this table! The love of Jesus Christ is felt with every smile, every hug, every hand shake. I am so grateful to be at a church that I can walk in broken and walk out changed. I love that Pastor Joe and Pastor Lori have a true heart for God and his people. It is a vital part of our DNA as a church to make sure everyone that walks in seen and loved. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure” (Ephesians 1:5)

Like many churches I visit this place is for "feeling good", motivation and entertainment. I still can not tell what their core teachings are. I've met many religious people in many places that have never heard of overcoming anger or taking accountability for ones anger, rather than blaming other people. I need a pastor to directly declare anger to be of Good or Evil and how they deal with stress in the mind. I would like to know if a church believes in moral dichotomy, meaning good is nothing like evil and evil is completely different than good. The dichotomy would explain evil is flawed and good is flawless. If hypocrisy is a flaw is it possible to be flawless or is that something the God they worship can not or will not heal. This church seems to enjoy talking about their beliefs relating to the past history of bible or even small verses and how to view it. People rush out of church as soon as they feel church is almost over, some women are not comfortable greeting others which was easy to get used to.

Upon relocating to the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, my family and I embarked on a quest to find the ideal spiritual home. We understood the importance of finding a church that not only aligned with our beliefs but also provided a welcoming and nurturing community. Our journey led us to visit approximately ten different churches, each offering its own unique atmosphere and teachings. While these initial visits were informative and introduced us to various facets of Austin's diverse religious landscape, none of them truly resonated with us. We found ourselves searching for that intangible connection, a place where we could wholeheartedly invest our faith and feel a genuine sense of belonging. It was during this exploration that we stumbled upon Celebration Church—a discovery that would alter the course of our spiritual journey in Austin. From the very moment we stepped through its doors, there was an unmistakable feeling of warmth and inclusivity. The congregation's genuine hospitality and the palpable sense of community made us feel like we had found a family away from home.
