The people here were wonderful and super sweet. I attended this church for a little less than a year. However, If your a devout follower of Jesus I would say don't go to this church. Here are my reasons 1. Pastor del invites every year a preacher by name of Jessie duplantis who preachers the prosperity gospel. If you've done any research at all you'd find out Jessie is a false preacher and everything he says contradicts the bible. The prosperity gospel is not the gospel, it is false preaching. I'd question alone the fact that Pastor del continually invites Jessie to preach every year. 2. Every Sunday we'd say the pledge of allegiance and the pastor would say something political. Politics has no place in a church. Church is about Jesus, should only consist of leading people towards Jesus. Don't go to this church ever. if you are currently going here, discern, see the truth. Don't follow the pastor's teaching just because you like him or it feels good. Follow Jesus, he will show you the truth.

Tried 3 Churches in Kerr County settling in and attending this one. Now houses of worship are run by Humans and subject to human frailty but I actually like the warm friendly atmosphere here. The wonderful praise and worship sessions by the group in charge of that and the Security here. I sit close to the exit as I can but the Sermons are good with biblical references posted overhead. I feel the Holy Spirit here and the messages can be raw but direct. I’ll reserve further reviews when I have more history this is more of a first few service impressions.

We love the realness here! Relevant powerful sermons and worship! Many ways to serve the friendly caring ppl here! Many ministries including prayer meetings! Salvation invitations are given and seen as very important! Heartfelt pledge of allegiance is also done routinely! Pastor Del sent us a hand written note after our 1st visit and called us to be sure we made it back to AZ!!!

Personally not the right church for me. This seems like a close knit church that supports one and other which is what we are called to do. I didn’t feel super welcome here but was my only time coming here. The pastor mentioned politics quite a bit and that caused me to leave early. I was very shocked when they prayed only for the nation of Israel and not Palestine. There is a horrific war going on in Israel and Palestine and both sides are in need of prayer and support and need God to bring peace to this conflict. Politics and nonsense aside the pastor had a decent message but was a bit tough to follow. Wouldn’t recommend if you like politics being separate from the church you attend.

I met a wonderful person that goes to this church and invited me. So did some research and when I saw the following statements on the website my heart sank to my toes. How can a pastor help "lost" people when his mind is closed? Copied from website.... "Calvary shines the light of Jesus in order to show God’s love to the lost." "We believe that the 66 books of the Holy Bible are inspired by God, without error, and are the final authority on all matters of life." There are more than 66 books if the bible translated from Sanskrit of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Men decided to removed many of those books, also written by God. Hiding them away, deeming them unworthy of teaching to the "lost'. I have read 4 of the hidden books. In the book of St. Thomas, for instance, Jesus tells his disciples "There is something inside of you that you do not know ...". It is our work, our duty, to know ourselves and it is our SALVATION to seek God out in everything and in everyone. To be forever curious and full of wonder. We are never "lost" because We Belong to God. Our Creator resides within each of us, knows us better than we know ourselves, and knows where we are in every way at all times. We are mistaken when we believe that our Creator is separate from ourselves.

From what I see, the chuch patterns itself after all the popular TV ministries. Big bucks on backdrops, lots of di Calvary events, and as lo g as you show up Sunday. it's "cool." Following God is a 7 days a week call. Why can't Churches be individualistic. Why copy what another church does. It's not the facilities or social events that are to be key. It's living for Jesus daily and saring to the lost. It's often stuff the offering plate to build "impressive facilities and big social events. Nothing is wrong with good facilities, but when big bucks spent on awing t h e members thru big lighted backdrops, that seems to often take over the priority. However, the pastor assures you that Jesus is the focus. To me, this renders a churc average at best. Trendy and modern, but not always quality actions in ministry.0

What a neat church. Pastor Del is tops, you have to love his singing. They have a great vacation bible school that serves the whole town. Their children church is the best. We attend every time we are in Kerrville.

Calvery is and has been my family's favorite place to go worship the lord. My mother used to attend till she passed and enjoyed everything about the church. Thank pastor Del Way.

This church has great amenities for families; however the pastor Del Way is a narcissist and, habitually lies to his congregation. Del Way makes all his sermons about him and his dyed that he styles like a fourteen year old middle schooler. I could see past all of his short comings except for the flat out lies. The biggest lie that did it in for me was, "Thomas Jefferson was a religious man and, battled for Christianity to be s part of our government." Anyone who has gone to any of the myriad schools across this country knows that Thomas Jefferson was not religious and worked arduously to keep church and state separated.

I love Calvary Temple Church. My name is Theresa Tyll and I am widowed with five children. I have been searching for a relatable church family and I found it at CTC. The Youth Pastor, Karson has been life-changing and present in the lives of my two boys Jesse Micah and Kai Paulson. Pastors Del and Cindy Way have been instrumental in my journey to get my life back and I can not express my gratitude enough to their daughter Ashlynn Way, who is mentoring my daughter. Thank you CTC.
