We were only in the Gladewater area a short time but visited this church and were extremely blessed. Fantastic preaching and we loved the way the music blended some modern music along with an old hymn. We would make this our home church if we lived there.

Highly recommend, Great pastor, the greeters at the door will offer to give you Green stick on circle if you don't mind physical contact. Red sticker if you prefer no physical contact. Only 3 stars because I have medical conditions and no one had on mask, they where seating in every other row. I drove from Hallsville TX just to hear pastor. They are planning many new projects for the children and the church to grow.

Love this place. They are extremely welcoming and make the place feel like home, like you belong. As a man raised Catholic, this place is amazing. Definitely a different experience but certainly worth the time and effort. Come and join.

Clicking a star was the only way to write a review. Zero stars for sure! Calvary Baptist divides parents from their young adult children and grandchildren. Why I may never know but I foolishly counted on Calvary Baptist; I needed the church and begged for the McGee's help. I needed prayer, resolutions, solutions; advise, peace, wisdom, strength, guidance, support, trust and hope; and they (David, Susan, John and Donna) did nothing!! I showed up in person on 2 different occasions several yrs apart in despair, emotionally drained, deep sorrow, crushed, broken, pained feeling beyond lost, unworthy, hurt, confused, sad, torn, and angry at God and I got a pat on the back, walked out to my car and turned away. No wisdom, no Godly words. Calvary Baptist Church in Gladewater NOT ONCE ask me to come back, not once called to check on me, not once ask me to join a service, a care group, a team, or invite me to come pray with someone, learn and heal. Nor did they led me to others who could help me, Not once! That's not a "church" for the right reasons. That's a clique!

Been going to Calvary for a couple years off and on.I have read some of the reviews.Remember one thing you only get out of something if put in to it.If you want Jesus in your life then let him in.But don't slander ones if truly don't know them.God bless and I hope you have the wonderful experience me and my family has.
