The Old Brushy Methodist Church was established in 1874 which I will include the photo of the State Historical Marker... It's part of Texas history and being a anchor in the Surrounding area. People came from miles away on horseback and buggy to hold Church services. While I was visiting the old church, I could almost hear the laughter of children outside playing on the trees and the voices of people having church dinners outside under the trees and Amazing Grace echo across the breeze. In 2004 the Methodist Church allowed Baptist Preacher Booby Caves to start holding services there since the Brushy Methodist Church cease to operate. On October 10th 2004 I saw my first apparition of Jesus and the BVM which changed my life. If you like historical places I would suggest you visit the Brushy Methodist Church. It looks old and run down in need of repair and the property is in need of mowing. But I came away both sad and upbeat, sad because all the old timers are gone home to be with the Lord and upbeat because they layed the foundation for the Area to hear the Gospel 150 years later... I am including many photos some have my fingers (sorry) so enjoy and God Bless..
