I went there twice and brought my wife. Had pints and pizza after church. A good fun example for other churches, but if you want to find lasting hope and Joy through the redemptive power of Jesus, it is not a top priority here. You will need to ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of your past sins and ask Him to be the Lord of your life... You will be filled with His Holy Spirit, cleansed from the inside out and not be left behind when He returns...

How does one review an experience so beautiful, powerful, and intimate? Well, as this 1st-timer with no real expectations found out today, I was so moved by the VIBE in the ANC: the attendants, initial speaker, pastor, and the singing musician all let forth a wonderful and warm feeling in the spirit of Christ our Lord and just flat-out positive humanity. The sermon was equal parts faith, history, progressive ideas, humor sprinkled with personal anecdotes, and encouragement to lift oneself up to share & give to our fellow person. And who doesn't need more of that? I feel very lucky/BLESSED to have heard of these ongoing Sunday at 10:30am services and am looking forward to the next one... All was quite inspiring! Thank You ANC. Peace & Love ❤️

Just visited, very cool church. Music was great, the building has lovely stained glass windows, and the message was inspiring. People were very welcoming, and I got a sense this church is a place of healing for a lot of people. It’s a very inclusive, progressive church.

A beautiful welcoming community, guided by hospitality, scripture and pastors who open up brains and hearts with their kindness, questions and candor.

The love of Christ is not here from our experiences trying to be members for over 1 year. If you're hurting, you'll be made well aware that your baggage is unwelcome. If you're a super Christian, you'll probably fit right in. We brought our needs and prayers to the leaders on multiple occasions and were told it was our approach, being "too needy", and it was our responsibility to change to be accepted. I guess having your parents die in a car accident, other parents succumb to suicide, and new jobs/city away from your previous fellowship is too much for them to love through and be gentle for a bit of time. We really did try and had to go elsewhere to find loving and compassionate people that did practice what they preached (the general population here is great! I'm just talking about the select leaders that were blatantly unloving when we needed Christ to shine through them in our weakness). They are doing some things right, and I know God has the power to use and redeem us all when we fall short. No one will be perfect, so give this place a try! Just sharing our personal experiences, but that is not where God stops :) Edit: Five years later I read this church's response to neglecting to care for one of their flock. "I hope you found your place". Pithy. This is a perfect example of the type of attitude you will find here. Not "What can we do to change?" or "Wow, someone is hurting and we somehow failed them - let's give them our personal email to reach out for some prayer!" Simply...."Yes, your understanding was correct, we did not want your baggage, so good riddance on someone else." Their other responses to anyone else who dares to speak out is equally dismissive. This church is in it for themselves, simple. No accountability. No self-reflection. No humbleness. Simply - "Agree with us, or you're wrong" (and we attend a very questions-driven church right now, the furthest from fundamentalism I've ever experienced, and in that is deep humility that none of us have all the answers but that the basic tenents are to love others and to love them sincerely and wholeheartedly). I am so saddened by the types of responses on this Google review page. I tried to give them benefit of the doubt (see above), but it is clear, this church has a piss-poor attitude in general.

We visited a couple weeks ago. I liked the combination of contemporary service in a traditional setting. However the pastor in giving the sermon seemed so rushed and spoke very quickly that I found it difficult to fully enjoy and take in his message.

Thank you for the free hugs at Austin Gay pride. To this day I weep at the thought of Gods love and works through his vessels. Thank you for reminding me that Gods love and acceptance are infinite. I promise you none of us chose this lifestyle. It’s the road less traveled because of all that hate and meanness we receive. I look forward to attending your church with my wife and two young sons. And thank you again. You have started a movement. And more and more people are willing to hug us and accept that God made us in his image. Thank you a million times over. God bless you all.

I’m Going to rate it a 5… although it wasn’t for me… but for those that this church is good for…. You’ll love it….

I'm obsessed with everything about it. We found ANC after being wounded by a church and therefore deconstructed/reconstructed our faith. We feel so very safe evolving in our faith here. From music, to preaching, to missions, to making a place at the table for ALL...ANC is my absolute favorite.
