🙅🏿‍♀️I totally understand and get that you all are expressing your first amendment rights in Texas. I am a resident of an apartment community in west central Texas and I am a bit uncomfortable with your church member’s door to door knocking invite approach for church events/services. I witnessed people who appeared to be Abilene Christian center church members/attendees on my ring camera at mine and other people’s apartments, knocking on doors, waiting for people to open their doors just to hand them a flyer for an invitation to a free concert on the Saturday, 7 Nov and Sunday church service, 8 Nov. There were two adult men and two females. One of the females appeared to be an innocent child/little girl. They knocked on mine and other people’s doors, engaged in conversation with one another, stood & waited for myself and others to open/answer our doors to pass out your flyers. I’m not understanding why they couldn’t just leave the flyer near the door opposed to knocking and waiting for someone to open the door for complete strangers in this day and age. Are you seriously kidding me???? 🤔They also placed flyers in between my car door handle on the driver side. I thought that was a bit much & absolutely unnecessary. We no longer live in a day and age where it’s safe to open your door up for strangers claiming to spread the Christian gospel/Gods word or wanting to give you an invitation to an event/church service. All of this was captured on my ring doorbell camera. I wasn’t quite sure of how to process your member’s unusual activity, but it was very uncomfortable, unwanted, and made me feel uneasy. I perceived it as a bit too much & strange, peculiar, overbearing, overboard, over zealous, trespassing, alarming and concerning. With all do respect, I am requesting and would appreciate if you could please refrain from having your Abilene Christian center church members from knocking and waiting at my apartment door just to hand me an invitation to your church events/services. Respectfully, We do not want any 🙅🏾‍♀️. When I was a kid, my mom always told me not to open the door whenever the religious folks would come knocking to spread the gospel and extend an invite. She always told me to say “We don’t want any” and that still stands/applies in today’s age. Sometimes my mom would actually open the door and let the Jehovah’s witness religious groups share their knowledge, testimony, ministry. She’d kindly accept the religious pamphlets that they passed out when they came by. I absolutely refuse to open my apartment door for anyone knocking & claiming to be a part of any religious groups potentially putting myself in a vulnerable position. No thank you. I don’t want any of what you are offering. Enough with the aggressive evangelism attempts/efforts. I wish you all the best with spreading the gospel, the word, bible, discipleship, salvation, and increasing your in person/online church membership/attendance. Jesus wept! Jesus loves you and all, this I know, but we don’t want any! Please stop 🛑 knocking at my apartment door with your religious agendas. Please stop 🛑 placing flyers at my apartment door, between my car door handles, and on my car period. I’m not interested and don’t want anyone coming to my door waiting for me to open it to talk about religion. It would be greatly appreciated if you’d stop your leaders, supporters, promoters, and members from coming to my front and car door as well. I mean really?🤷🏾‍♀️why?Please stop?🛑 Appreciate your help, assistance, respect, understanding, and cooperation in putting a stop to this and also refrain from having your church members, parishioners, evangelists, and promoter’s unwanted invitation approaches/efforts.
