“Did you go to Helping hands?”. Um… no… you are a church. It is supposed to be a part of your mission to give direct help. Not to turn people away and tell them to go somewhere else. In a world where it is really easy to be canceled by not living up to Gods expectations this church made the wrong choice.

Matthew 25:35-40 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink… Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” This church passed off other resources for a hungry baby. But would not personally help a starving baby.

A church who turns away a mother with a crying infant asking if you could provide her some formula. The whole reason to give to a church is so you can continue to go to a place of worship that you believe is a building that you can be close to God. I hope you reflect on your actions.

Isaiah 58:10: “If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.” Please read the Bible again because God said to take care of each other not turn away people in need of help.

Waverly Church of the Nazarene is one of the most welcoming, friendly churches I have ever visited or been a part of! They are mission focused and extremely community oriented. Their pastor, Daron Brown, is a gifted pastor and his sermons make me think about scripture in new ways - as well as challenge me to become more like the example Jesus gave us. If you need/want a church that will care about you and your family or if you are looking for a church to challenge how you think about Jesus and our callings, give WCN some of your time!

Of the 19 churches contacted to help a woman who had run out of formula and needed help, only 2 stepped up. Your church failed the test. What do you do with that tax free status? By the way, I made a contribution to both of the churches who DIRECTLY helped their community.

What is wrong with you? How can you hear a starving baby crying and not offer help? Is this what your church stands for? Pathetic. You are here to HELP your community. Not turn away starving children. To the lady from the church that answered the phone call and turned that mother away, I hope you never find a moments peace.

My friend called this church in a moment of desperate need, seeking help with baby formula for her infant. The response was a cold refusal and a distinct lack of care. They showed no willingness to provide direct help, opting only to deflect responsibility by referring us to other organizations. This church's inaction is not just a failure of community spirit; it is a direct contradiction of the scripture they claim to uphold. By turning away a hungry child, they have chosen to "hide themselves." They have ignored a core tenet of their faith while likely expecting the community to support them. A church that refuses to "share its bread" with the most vulnerable has lost its way and forgotten its purpose. Profoundly disappointing and spiritually empty.

Visited church and felt judged by some of the most hypocritical people I’ve ever met. I should have read their reviews before visiting. If you’re looking for a God to worship, keep looking..theirs is def not it. Also, I found them very eager to make excuses for their nasty behavior as you can see in some of the responses in their negative reviews. This is why churches should be taxed.
