  We visited this church for the first time with our baby and arrived about 25 minutes after the service had begun. We were told we COULD NOT ENTER due to the church’s “rules.” When we explained that we were first-time visitors, we were still turned away. What was especially concerning is that about 10 minutes later, another family with children arrived over 35 minutes late and was allowed to enter without issue. We respect that churches may have policies, but policies should be applied consistently. As first-time guests, this experience felt disappointing and unwelcoming. It is hard to understand how a church can turn away a young family while making exceptions for others. We hope leadership will reconsider how first-time visitors are received. (I am putting 4 starts instead of 1, just because I haven’t experienced the church itself. And who knows, maybe it’s a good one, we would never know).

  If you’re in town visiting or live here, this is a wonderful church to attend. We were just here visiting for the week and stumbled across the rock Church. A great worship that was very senate around the Lord, very spiritual, and God honoring! With a great worship band! The pastor was very relatable preach right out of the Bible with the spirit of love and humbleness with Jesus at the sinner of the message all the way through. I can’t say enough good things about the church. God willing when we return on our vacations we would definitely come back.

  These people are amazing! Never have I met such an accepting, loving group than here at CCSM. They have a solid youth group too! These people are hilarious and so fun to grow in friendship with. I have made lifetime friends that are actually genuine whereas in my past experiences haven’t been quite so. I’ve been to a LOT of Calvary Chapels, I was raised in Calvary St Pete and Knoxville, and yes I am biased, but this is by far my favorite! Come by and check it out 😄. Also a plus they have food on Wednesday nights.

  Great worship experience at CCSM yesterday. Beautiful facilities, incredibly friendly and genuine people, powerful Christ-filled worship, and excellent teaching from the Bible. We live out of town, but if we lived in the Pigeon Forge area, this would be the church for us! I highly recommend Calvary Chapel Smoky Mountains. These folks really love the Lord!

  Biblically sound teaching! I took a lot of notes tonight at the Wednesday service. I’m vacationing from CT. Glad I came tonight. The message tonight hits hard and convicts me to pray like my spiritual life depends on it because it does! Everything Jesus did was through prayer. Prayer is like oxygen. What if prayer is not about asking God for things, but for knowing Him intimately. So much more that was taught tonight. I met Pastor Lance, Deacon Dale, and Jesse. Very nice and approachable people. If I lived here, I would have made this my home church. Looking forward to visit again!

  My husband and I have now visited this church twice while on vacation to TN. Both times, we have gotten a good, Biblically-based message that combines truth and love in a thoughtful way. It is very similar to many of the Calvary Chapels we have been to in setup, values, and procedures. Some family who are considering moving out here came on the most recent trip, and Pastor Lance had a great message that really showed the beliefs of the church and helped us to feel like this was a good fit. I know the two of us will be back to visit and worship with this lovely church again, and continue to pray that the rest of the family makes the move and can call it home.

  Wow, I can’t express how amazing and biblically sound this church is! From the warmth and love as you enter, to the genuine worship, to the truth in scripture conveyed through Pastor Lance. It’s so refreshing going line by line through the Bible! Such a beautiful and caring church family! Highly recommend visiting and gain your own perspective!

  My husband and I were looking for a local church that taught the Word of God simply, honestly and understandably. This is it. Pastor Lance teaches through the whole Bible - not just parts of it - and explains, through the Holy Scriptures, how it applies to our lives today. We came, we listened and we stayed. It's really good! If you're tired of hearing man's "opinion" on God, and you're ready to learn what God has to say to man, or if you're just feeling down and you need some new life breathed into your soul, come check out Calvary Chapel. There's no dress code and you can leave your wallet at home. Come just as you are!...Just come and see. :)

  I attended here when I was on vacation with a friend's family. now, I'm Catholic, so it was definitely a new experience for me. but everyone was very welcoming and friendly, especially the youth group! the teens were very nice, and I definitely enjoyed my short time there. :)
