I am so excited to worship here again today. I love the beautiful 8:45 am traditional service with its talented choir and organist. I love the joyful 11:00 am contemporary service with the awesome Praise team and frequent performances from members of the Youth and Children’s ministries. I enjoy the light breakfast for everyone to share after the first service in the Fellowship Hall. Between the 2 services. I enjoy an adult Bible study or helping out in the Children’s ministry. I truly feel God’s love in this church. I know that you will feel His love here, too. We look forward to meeting you.

"Because it's a business" .. The reason why Seymour United Methodist Church PDO leadership has abruptly dismissed our preschooler from their program (against our will) after we questioned why they were showing Halloween videos at church and celebrating witches and ghosts during their Halloween party. We would have been privy to none of this information had we not asked. And, we also would have been not been privy to the fact that our preschooler was left alone in a bathroom while her class and teacher went outside to the playground on the first day of school if she had not broken down crying and telling this to us. I share this experience so that others to bring light to a situation that PDO leadership tried to snuff out in darkness and so that others can make a well informed decision should they decide to participate in this church's PDO. We had put our older two children through this program and referred family and friends, so we were very surprised and heartbroken that they would just dismiss our youngest in the middle of the semester and deny our requests for a meeting.

A church that cares and shares like 340 free meals every Wednesday night just drive through for a free meal and take some home for your family or neighbors. Donated by fine restaurants in Sevier County. They have a great children's program and 2 services a traditional service at 8:45 AM and a Praise service at 11:00 AM be prepared to Sing.

We have been attending SUMC for 2 years. ALL of our lives have been enriched by the Pastor, Elders, leaders and the members. I encourage you to go find a church that fits for your family. I promise, God will show you where you need to be. SUMC is a great fit for families, especially their youth program and Recovery outreach program.

Seymour UMC is an amazing faith community. As a member I am aware of the situation regarding the pedofile comment and this person has since been incarcerated after reoffending in Sevierville. Unfortunately some former members (and former staff) are still upset because the Pastor at the time handled the situation with the person discreetly rather than embarassing the person publicly. All people have sacred worth to God and Jesus died for everyone. It is interesting that the poor rating was submitted anonymously -
