Redeemer is home to me and so many other believers. I absolutely couldn’t ask for a better congregation and family. God has blessed me and so many others in that way. Jeff Martin, the lead pastor, is phenomenal. God speaks through him every week and it is wonderful to see and hear. Jeff isn’t afraid to confront the difficult topics. Last week he reminded us of our obligation to not only love on others, but to also be sure we speak truth into their lives. He also constantly reminds the congregation of the Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” It is not only the pastors job to be a minister but the entire body of Christ. When I was in college at ETSU I talked to a good friend of mine and confided in him that I was having a tremendously difficult time finding a church that I fit into well and felt at home at and he invited me to come to church at Redeemer with him. I agreed however I wasn’t completely convinced that I would feel at home there before attending and so I took his advice and listened to a sermon online in the mean time. As soon as I heard the first sermon on The Lords Prayer, I had a feeling I would love it because it was so deep, yet so easy to comprehend. Once I attended I knew immediately that Redeemer is home and it has been now for around 5 years. My family I have found is incredible and loving and I have grown in my belief and my understanding of the Word and I thank God for that!

I have been attending Redeemer for 4 years now and it has become home to me. The Gospel is proclaimed every Sunday with sincerity and grace. Redeemer loves the Word and boldly stands for Truth in an age when many prefer to believe lies. I have become close with three of the pastors there, and I am confident in their leadership and in the work Redeemer is doing.

Everyone is welcome at Redeemer. Come as you are. We do church in the "round" meaning there is no front or back, we gather in a circle. Redeemer believes in the sovereignty of God and that Scripture is our guide. our prayer is that you come to worship and seek Jesus and find his promises. Redeemer has an amazing body of believers that are striving to enjoy Christ, love his friends, and engage the world. Kids are well served with over 50 dedicated volunteers each week. Worship is focused on lifting up praise and Glory to our creator and Redeemer. Coffee is free for everyone We do have peace officers at the church, much like all other churches in city who are there to keep the peace as we worship. Some worship with us regularly when they are off duty. Come as you are.

It was not a typical service since it was Christmas. They meet in a wonderful old building upstairs. It is not a typical church setting but the members are warm and seem sincere. It was a little odd to see children line up to show what they got for Christmas instead of showing the gift that all of us received!: Eternal life.

In the throes of the Corona Virus Pandemic, Redeemer Community Church was bold enough to congregate on June 14th for the 1st time. I was thrilled when I saw that they offered an 11am service where the mask was optional. It turned out that not one person sitting an acceptable distance apart was wearing a mask. It felt soooo good to be able to worship again in a semi-normal way. THANK YOU REEDEMER for making your service available to people who don’t want to wear a mask!!!! I believe pastor Jeff is anointed and spoke the truth from Scripture with such passion. I was a first time visitor who will make a point of returning next week. How could I not?

gospel centered teaching. A church that isn’t afraid to walk alongside the messiest of us, and keep pointing our failures and short comings back to the work that Jesus did on the cross for all of us. A come as you are church, that loves well.
