I am writing to express my deep concern and sadness regarding a recent post made by a member of your ministry — a preacher — which read: “Come to Chattanooga, they are on all the job sites.” While perhaps not intended with malice, this message carries an undertone that is racially charged, dismissive, and deeply hurtful. Coming from someone in a position of spiritual leadership, it is especially troubling. Churches are meant to be sanctuaries of inclusion, acceptance, and compassion. They should serve as a spiritual refuge — a place where we come together not as strangers, but as a family of brothers and sisters in faith. Statements like this, however, send the opposite message. It is profoundly discouraging to witness someone publicly promote religious values, while simultaneously making remarks that perpetuate racial stereotypes or social division. It undermines the core teachings of love, unity, and grace. This kind of rhetoric not only alienates members of the community but also casts a shadow on the church’s mission and credibility. Faith and prejudice cannot coexist. It is critical for spiritual leaders to lead by example — not just in the pulpit, but in all forms of communication, including online. I respectfully urge your leadership to address this matter and reflect on the weight of such messaging. The damage it causes is not only personal, but spiritual and communal.

My first experience at Purpose Church (almost 2 years ago) was an experience I’ll never forget! These individuals were so loving, friendly, and just all around amazing! The longer I came to the church (with my now husband) the closer I got to everyone! The people at Purpose Church are prayer warriors (when Purpose Church prays things happen). God always shows up and shows out! They are non-judge mental, huggers, prayers, loves EVERYONE! Purpose Church made me the individual I am today! We will always be family!

Purpose Church is a place that accepts every person. They teach about Jesus and faith in a way I’ve never experienced. Pastors Tom and Tiki opened my heart to a relationship with Jesus that is so much deeper than I ever knew possible. The people here are REAL, RAW, HONEST, and LOVING. I’ve never felt so warm and welcome at a church than I have at this one. This church is going to do incredible things and I’m so blessed to know the people who are acting as Jesus’s hands to make those things possible.

I went to hear Elaine Holmer. She and her husband are awesome people. I like there preaching. Church a little small for me. She preached a good message. She always does. Thank you Elaine for giving a great service.

If you need to feel loved and accepted no matter what you’ve done or been through, this is the place for you! Pastors Tom and Tiki Finlayson lead by example and preach truth. It is Spirit-filled, and that practices and walks in all the gifts of the Spirit. They’re huggers, so be forewarned!

My description of Purpose Church will come through some of this song..."When I walked into this place, I felt His presence, and I knew it was a place where love abounds, if you have a need, I know He has the answer, reach out and claim it, for we are standing on holy ground"...I hope this quick review, gives insight to the atmosphere at Purpose Church...💕

Not biblically accurate Your response has nothing to do with my comment. It's good to know that you can't dispute the fact that you are not biblically sound. I also wonder why the holy spirit didn't heal your son. If it's as easy as you say to just claim wellness, why didn’t he?
