New Life United Methodist Church (UMC) is a small, warm, and welcoming congregation located at 7921 Millertown Pike in East Knoxville, Tennessee. Our mission is to know Christ and show Christ for the transformation of the world, rooted in Scripture, shaped by grace, and committed to loving God and our neighbors.

As a United Methodist congregation, we are shaped by the Wesleyan tradition of grace, discipleship, and practical faith. We believe God's grace is at work before we recognize it, meets us where we are, and keeps forming us as we grow in love of God and neighbor. Our hope is to be a church where people encounter God, find community, grow in faith, and join in the work of healing and transformation in the world.

We are a congregation where everyone has a seat at the table, regardless of age, background, or where you are on your faith journey. We affirm the dignity and belonging of all people, including our LGBTQ+ siblings in Christ. You do not have to have everything figured out to be part of this community.

Serving our neighbors is central to who we are. We run a free food pantry on the 4th Tuesday of each month, tend a community garden, partner with Second Harvest Food Bank, and serve fellowship meals throughout the year. Our facilities include a covered pavilion, a walking trail, and a playground, which are available to the congregation and the community.

After the service, we linger. You will find coffee, conversation, and a congregation that genuinely wants to get to know you. On many Sundays, there is a potluck or shared meal.
