I’m sorry say, but I reached out twice through your portal and was never contacted back by anyone. I certainly would not feel welcome to attend your church. Not responding to a persons request to connect before they show up to visit a new congregation for the first time seems like a missed opportunity to make someone feel comfortable to visit and possibly become a member. Disappointing.

Visited a few weeks ago & have already listened to a few sermons online, so I was excited to visit in person. The disappointment was in the worship portion of the service; distracting, over-the-top, and uncomfortable. And—intentional to fit the coming message or not—most all of the songs had lyrics that repeated over and over and over without making much of an impression (as it was intended to). It was disappointing to realize that what could be a really great church apparently has such a deterrent as bad worship.

Love this church. Pastor Brian and his wife are warm, compassionate, friendly and most of all have hearts for serving God. Lots of wonderful things happening and being planned; so exciting! Plus, we have services for Spanish speaking people led by Pastor Jaime. Come check it out!!!

A dynamic young Pastor and his family together with a dedicated staff of Pastors and associates make this a true "Church of God". This very family oriented and Bible teaching ministry exists in a welcoming atmosphere of love and laughter. Breakfast begins at 9:00AM in the gym, Sunday School at 10:00 and The Message at 11:00.

My husband and I visited MJCOG almost two years ago. We decided to stay and became members. The family oriented congregation is friendly, welcoming and loving. It is a spirit filled Pentecostal church where the Holy Spirit is welcomed and allowed to flow. (There’s no “Big Me’s” and “Little You’s”). The Pastors, Brian and Danielle Varnell are a loving team working together for the Kingdom of God.

Feel welcome no matter who you are. Family in christ is expressed and felt. People in suits and in jeans. Great sermons you will not fall asleep here. The signing is not old hyms but full of life and joy. I love going here when Im in town. Give it a listen. Answer the Lords call. Feel the presence of God.

Yikes.....umm I really hate to leave a bad review. I dont like to be picky. However, we attended this church after reading some good reviews. When we walked in....not one person directed us where to go. I had to interrupt someones conversation to ask about where my kids should go? A teenager said to follow her asked how we were and then didnt say another word as she took us down to the basement and through a maze of hallways......with no signs or direction to a room for our kids. Only one person actually mad an attempt at trying to get my son to open up. I believe he is the newly engaged member of the congregation as was mentioned at the beginning of the service.....thank you to him...however we went in to the service after getting our kids settled in.....and the worship was as someone mentioned a little distracting....as the pastor came up to speak they were still going and mumbling words of praise loud enough to keep me from hearing what he was saying. Another pastor came and briefly introduced himself to us during the worship....thanks for making the effort....but on our way out got our names wrong....lol...funny but so sad...asked us to idk fill out one of those new person things...whatever that means. Weve done those before and usually receive some generic automated email. But after getting our names wrong and the complete lack of direction and welcome and the worship....we realize this probably isnt the church for outsiders.

There is nothing more satisfying when a church takes time to pray for you every single Sunday, never in a hurry. That means that they care about you, just as Jesus cares about you.

Warm and welcoming church that is family oriented, seeking God together, and cares for the Mount Juliet community.
