I visited it's 5 p.m. Sunday service. This evening the preacher held a Q&A session. The questions were collected the week before. The first one concerned "Are we just born that way?" Relating to homosexuality. He gave the secular science answer, which was to date scientists have not found a gene to answer that in the affirmative, drawing from several published studies on the matter and then he gave the Biblical view from Jesus (Mt. 19: 4-5), Apostle Paul (Rom. 1:26-27 and I Thessalonians 4:3-8) and the writer of Hebrews 13:4. The song service was enthusiastic and well led. I was glad I came!

We were so very blessed to visit HCOC today! We’ve been visiting churches around West Tn for a few years & can say that today is the first time where we felt like it truly was about worshiping God. I’m a woman who loves my praise time with Jesus through todays Christian music, which was my only concern about visiting a church without a band & a praise team but today I found a new type of worship (& respect) for the Lord through singing in worship through hymns with my own voice. There’s no blessing quite like finding a new type of love for Christ. Everything about HCOC today was just wonderful. We attended Sunday school & took part in a biblically taught & based study on natural evangelism followed by a straight from scripture message that was sound doctrine that theologically lined up with what the Bible teaches. This is an old fashioned but very doctrinally sound place of worship. I think one of the problems with today’s church is that it’s been made out to be a performance which takes away from the main message which is The Gospel of Christ and His love. We were greeted and welcomed by so many wonderful people. We are excited to say we will definitely make the 30 minute drive next Sunday!
