This church has been my home for a long time. I have witness supernatural encounters. I know them and so does Jesus. They provide for the needy with a cheerful heart they feed so many in need I can't even count, they provide affordable clothing and for the less fortunate if not give to them clothes for free., They also have a furniture store, it's always good to buy products from the hands of those who are blessed with the gift of healing. If your looking for a place to call home this is my home for now! While I'm waiting on my first home to be built. They, are a family that will pray with you, that will fight with you, that will be there when you need them most importantly LOVE YOU LIKE A BROTHER AND SISTER NO MATTER YOUR ETHNICITY.

I believe that anything that is being said to be done in Jesus name should be a two-way street, while my money does good via the thrift store, I get gently used items in return that are reasonably priced, as they should be. Every place like this that uses his name to do good in our community and internationally, should use Honey Rock's methods so that the community will give the support that is needed & the money that is needed. The way the store is run is exactly how it should be & other places should take a lesson from this place. I am no longer Donating to these other places, with their millionaire CEOs, when my money does more for my community here at Honey Rock. The furniture, even when it's brand new, is extremely reasonably priced. The staff & volunteers are humble and helpful. I can't ask for more.

The thrift store is very clean smells clean and the employees are very cordial and friendly. I most also mention the clothing is of good quality and not over priced. Some items still have the original price tags. Highly recommend.

Slummy Rock would be the last place I would go for any reason. I mean, if I was starving, I wouldn't even try to eat there at the soup kitchen. Fasten your seatbelt's folks cause I have a very funny story for you. Okay, theres a new law in tennessee called the "tennessee food freedom act," which allows people to produce non potentially hazardous foods in their home, and sell them anywhere in the state of Tennessee, So long as the finished product does not require refrigeration. That's what makes it non potentially hazardous. So food freedom act producers like myself are subject to inspections by the tennessee department of health, so i'm just putting that out there for folks that think that there's no oversight with home food production in Tennessee, because there is. I'm saying this because I don't want people to think that my application to sell in the slummy rock parking lot was rejected because it's against the law for me to sell homemade food products in retail establishments because it's not. The law actually even preempts city ordinances, so even the city of knoxville can't even come in and tell businesses that they cannot allow us to sell our products in their establishments, because, again, The tennessee food freedom act overrides any and all local city anc county ordinances. So basically, all a business has to do if they want to allow a food freedom act producer to sell their products through their shop or venue is just get the food freedom act produced to add their business name to the producer's food liability Insurance policy, and it doesn't cost the business anything, that's done at the cost of the food producer. Anyhoo, This place is in my neighborhood, and I noticed that there were some tents in the parking lot, it looked like the beginnings of a flea market or farmers market, So I decided to inquire about setting up a tent there to sell. I walked in there about four times asking for an application, which took about a 4 month period, because I'm a truck driver, and I'm on the road a lot. When I come home on vacation, I go to farmers markets, etc, to sell my spices. I thought it was really silly that I had to keep showing up in person to get a paper application in person, I mean who even does that any more, most normal people do everything online now, so although I didn't really have time to deal with these people's "in person application" nonsense, I stopped by there about four times, about once a month, And finally after all of that, I got an application, and I filled it out, and I was told I would be contacted. Apparently, this was a big, scary, important decision, 🤣this decision was up to someone named "apostle blah blah blah" anyhoo, I guess after many seconds of prayer and supplication, "apostle blah blah blah" decided that I wasn't good enough to set up a tent in his nasty parking lot, but it's okay, because my products are in physical stores now. so, ok, slummy rock, I'm good, I got this, Your help is not needed.

If I could ever say enough about this place.$5. fill a bag of clothes deal day, shirts $1, pants $2, ladies pretties ,$1.00, I went in to get shoes ,$24.00 later, no shoes but 4 bags of really nice clothing, great bible & good vibes. Went to bench to group things in bags, beautiful woman came out & ask me if I was ok today. Not negating, serious chatting of a good neighbor type way, ask if was hungry & gave a 1/2 of a cooked bbq chick that had been grilled, listened to my personal concerns & prayed w/ me at my request. Another beautiful young lady gave us an ice cold monster drink each on a hot, hot day & male councilor spoke with me for a moment about Sunday bus route before he went indide for Bible study as a mentor! If you can't feel true concern there & God's hands reaching for you to smile & relax... Even with my CV very confused & messed up life, I feel peaceful & welcomed even if I only sit on the bench for awhile at nite! A true house of God

This is hands down the best church I have ever been to. I haven't been to church in 13 years. I quit going to church because I don't believe you should be looked at differently because you have tattoos and piercings. This church was welcoming. They made you feel like part of the family. I will continue to go to this church! Thank you guys

I find this ministry to be very in tune with the mind of God. They are focused on being the church not just having a church experience. If you dig deeper you will be intrigued by the teachings of Apostle Upton and the elders. I believe that are a body of believers who will accomplish the will and mission the Father has tasked them with.

Have a great deal of respect for Pastor Upton , this man is down to earth and approachable. Also I love the fact that Honey Rock is ( not ) a church confined to 4 walls. The teachings conducted by Pastor Upton are Spirit lead and full of life.
