The most beautiful place in Tennessee to stay that I've ever seen the monks are truly great people and very accomadating I felt like I was in Japan they have a visitor center a praying temple and a huge monistary with a gorgeous view ITS A MUST SEE AND STAY if you're in Tennessee

If you get a chance to stop here you should. It’s amazing. You start out driving up a very steep switchback so 4x4 is required but you can park at the bottom and walk up. Walking sticks provided. Once you get up to the lodge the view is amazing. Walk the property and take it all in. Every one there was very friendly.

First: 4WD or AWD to drive up. Very tranquil place. Two people were working on the main temple by themselves. One lady was very welcoming and called out to me a very warm welcome. I waved back and replied with a thank you. My wife and I proceeded to the small temple and removed our shoes as a most simple and respectful honor. We spent several minutes in the temple in tranquility then walked to the visitor center. We spent an hour reading the history of their mission and it is very impressive, "Peace". I could have spent a lot more time reading for sure. We spent time on the walking trail and took a moment to honor those individuals whose remains where enshrined. I gained much respect for the Buddhist religion. I am very honored to have been able to visit such a beautiful and tranquil place. "Peace" so simple and yet so hard to understand. I took no photos of the interior of the temple or visitors center out of respect.

If you don't let your excuses slow you down. Park at the shrine and walk. Its steep and a workout but very peaceful. Ive had 7knee surgerys and 17 back procedures but i also am powered by the Lord. I made it, you an also. Enjoy the experience.I didnt take pictures of the pagoda, prayer garden or in the buildings. It just didnt seem right. I prayed and will keep that for myself. Thank you for allowing me to visit.

There was nobody there when I went which was fine, but it felt abandoned. I came there to pray, which you can do in the temple building. There was a unfinished statue which I’m guessing is under construction.

up in mountains for certain. Went in February, you need a 4 wheel drive or its a little hike. Amazing Hidden Place

Must come and see while your health still able to hike. Must have 4WR and know how to drive up on the hill.

Most peaceful place! The views are amazing! The temple is beautiful, well kept; I loved everything about it!! Can’t hardly wait to come back when the main temple that is in construction is finished! They had a few “ sticks “ at the bottom, grab one it’s a steep hill and slippery on the way down (gravel) I used one and left it behind, so thoughtful
