attended service this morning for the 49th anniversary, and everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was also my first time seeing Al Green in person, and I can honestly say he seems like a very kind, God-loving man. Watching how he interacts with people makes it clear that he genuinely loves the Lord and truly cares about others. Sometimes we're drawn to pastors who deliver long, theological sermons mixed with political ideas, but Als message is simple God loves me and im thankful And that's enough. I'd rather hear someone repeatedly express gratitude for God's love than listen to a message weighed down by theology and politics. Al Green preaches what the world needs right now-a simple, powerful message of God's love. May God continue to bless him and this church.

I can't express the feeling of love and light this service brought to me. Bishop Al Green is a powerful messenger. The band and choir make such heavenly noise. A lovely church, truly welcoming visitors from every walk of life.

Truly a transformative experience. The music and choir were amazing. Of course Bishop Green has an amazing voice and integrates music into his sermon. Sunday School was amazing - more interactive than I have ever experienced. Dee is an amazing person and dynamic speaker. If you have any doubt of God’s love, go to her Sunday School service

Very nice church with Sunday school study at 9:45 & full Sunday Service at 11:30. Bishop Al Green sung & preached with a full choir. Very nice congregation. We especially enjoyed the Sunday school teaching Plenty of room and many visitors. You will enjoy this nondenominational service.

Went for service, and I was grateful to be brought into the fold with those who are regular/long standing members. I would implore everyone go with a heart for God -not as tourists. Bobby Green truly brought down a word reluctantly singing 2 weeks ago (when we visited). The flock know their privilege and responsibility, and it's amazing that they do right by others visiting.

Bishop Green said the people demanded only one hour of service and on Sunday, but he was not changing God's order of service. He showed up for Bible Class and was the only one there. Help showed up for Choir rehearsal and was the only one there. He showed up for Sunday School and was the only one there, so he gave the hour on Sunday because out of town visitors can come. Church, get ready, especially the Black Churches. Look what you have done to the Lord.

Visiting from DC and was very disappointed when Reverend Green was a no show. The congregation held the service appearing to be unsure whether Al Green would show up. The singing and the scripture readings was very good, but I came to hear the word. I felt if Reverend Green wasn't going to be there another Minister could have lead the service. I felt like after they took offering they song a few more songs and dismissed the service. It just felt artificial. Reverend Green if you read this post, I truly hope you are doing God's work and not using your name to draw folks in for money. I grew up listening to your songs, and was ready to hear how the Lord has used you for His glory. One of my favorite songs from you is Belle which is a gospel. Rebecca B

I wish someone, anyone, would keep the alarm off either at the church or studio. That thing beeps/rings for DAYS. It is frustrating for people who live around the church/studio to go through this. It has been ringing off and on for hours now.
