Absolutely breathtaking experience! The performers were fantastic, and the commentary about "the feelings" associated to the next song was spot on! One can close their eyes and still picture the candles and people playing! Sadly, I wasnt able to take the person that was supposed to go, but I enjoyed it no less solo!

I absolutely enjoyed attending a the concert by Candleight: A Tribute to Coldplay in this historical church. The architecture is astounding and the performance quite grand. The atmosphere was cozy, since it was performed by candlelight, and people had their arms draped around each other. There was a feeling of love and peace that is so needed in our world. It was a feast for my eyes and ears and touched my heart as well.

I have had the pleasure of officiating many weddings at First Cumberland, witnessing others, and as a matter of fact I was married there. I have always found the staff to be cordial, welcoming, and eager to please. The Wedding Coordinator is a person of great warmth and skill. It is always a pleasure to see her and work with her.

Trying to figure out why the woman who does the weddings decided she wants to railroad the bride and groom and ignore every word they said told them they were not allowed to have the people they wanted in their wedding in their wedding? She was rude spoke about ver everyone and on top of that the day of the wedding she shows up to the event in all white? Extremely rude showing no Christian values and disrespecting to the people that paid for the space and entire wedding party. If you’re going to have a wedding I’d avoid coming here unless you actually like the planner to not listen to you and ignore everything you said that you want.

My wife and I love this church! It's traditional worship with a fresh message of Jesus' love. They were warm and welcoming to us from the start. Pastor Courtney is kind and personal and his sermons are engaging.

We recently attended a "Candlelight" performance at this church. The music from the string quartet was great, but the venue was poor and inappropriate for events like this. The musicians are seated on a low stage so only the people in the front few rows can actually see them. We were 15 rows back and couldn't even get a glimpse. But the parking arrangement is the worst. It took us nearly an hour to get back onto the street after returning to our car due to a convoluted one-way system that cars have to back out into. This was made even worse by arrival of vehicles for the following performance.

The sonnets that coincided w the music gave the backdrop to what the music was describing. The candle light and music felt like a tapestry wrapped around me. If you are a fan of string instruments and fire then this is an evening to enjoy. I wish the candles were real.

The First Cumberland church is a beautiful place, but there was one individual whose approach made the experience feel unwelcoming. From rehearsal to the wedding day, both families felt rushed, and unfortunately, friends were not allowed back in to take pictures with the newlyweds. It was disappointing, because such a joyful occasion should feel warm and memorable. Hopefully, this can serve as a friendly reminder of how much of a difference kindness, patience, and compassion can make in creating a more welcoming experience for everyone.
