This church preaches the Bible and has great ministries. Love the music and met several families who are wonderful while we visited several times over the last year. My sons checked out youth group, and people serving in the lobby are friendly. I don't think we can join though because there are two teenagers who kiss and are all over each other during services. They don't sit with their families. I complained to an usher and then a greeter another time and they said they would try to help but nothing has changed and it's been months. I see people in that area looking at them and distracted and annoyed by it. Their behavior is so uncomfortable. The boyfriend pats her on the butt, they kiss and constantly have their hands on each other, they chat during the service and are not paying attention, she often wears short skirts and he has his hands on her legs and my young sons see all this. Turns out the family is a deacon family and are close friends of the pastor. The church invests heavily in them. I don't see how this behavior is acceptable among seasoned Christians and then my tithe money goes to fund their kids trips to leadership camps? Something is off here and I refuse to wait for the pastor to act. This should be stopped and deacons chosen more carefully because the way their family behaves matters. Respect for the sanctuary environment and for people around them is important. I don't blame those I asked for help because if this family is a favorite of the pastor's then it figures they can do what they want and have no recourse for it. Unfortunate!

The Word is preached, period. The various ministries for all ages is awesome. It’s biblical love, learning for everyone. I have heard the Pastor preach many times and have been fed each time. I love this place and always have.

I'm from Owensboro KY. Erdie was our pastor. We don't go to our church anymore as my mom is disabled but we LOVE your big beautiful church and watch EVERY Sunday. It is just Beautiful and the music is awesome. Pastor Raines is very knowledgeable. We will try to book a hotel stay and come visit you soon. Can't wait to be there in person. God bless you. This is not a "REVIEW" This is a "REVEAL" A review is has guidelines. I'M HUMAN & I HAVE "EXPERIENCES" NOW, LETS "REVIEW" MY EXPERIENCE. The key word is "MY" EXPERIENCE. 08/2024 I randomly started attending this church. I don't have any friends or family here and I wasn't invited by anyone. I just went and continued to attend Sunday service. Im a people person and I don't meet strangers. I love to engage, participate and get involved. I CAME TO GET THE WORD OF GOD. A PREACHER WHO'S BEEN CALLED NOT BY PEOPLE BUT BY JESUS CHRIST. ANOINTED & MEEK. A HUMANITARIANNOT WORLDLY. PREACHES GENUINELY LOVES THE LORD, LIVES A pI love to worship God and to be in the present of like minded people.

Pastor is friendly and down to earth. Everyone is kind and very inviting. If you are looking for somewhere to connect with like-minded people, this is a great place. This church has so much to offer. A hidden gem in the area.

They are a wonderful joyous church! We have a Christmas eve service that every year since 2015 has proven to be spiritually joyous about our Saviour! I would recommend this to all families looking for answers about Jesus.December 25 at 5 pm! Come sing and rejoice the good news!

Rafael helped me with a need. He was very friendly next time I’m passing through town. I will definitely stop and visit. It is a extremely large facility with a school and it’s on both sides of the street.

As an institution this place gave me life long trauma that took the better part of a half decade to overcome and derailed me from a promising future. Unlearned all the nonsense and have been thriving ever since. Don’t raise your kids in the church.

This is a great church from what I have noticed on my first visit. I just recently moved to clarksville and I am more accustomed to Baptist churches anyway and figured I would give it a try. I love the traditional feel to it and that is what I am drawn to with the older feel as well as thr church choir with their light bulbs set a good tone of viewing. Although this is a bigger church and typically bigger churches I've seen get swayed away by the new age movement I've seen churches head into with the showy, flashy and concert feel, this church stands its ground and am glad to see it do so..when I go I am their for God and not praise towards flashy singers and concert style lighting. For such a big church they are very welcoming as if they are smaller, bigger churches tend to make you feel blended with everyone as if you aren't a single person but they were quick to welcome and let me and my woman feel comfortable when we walked in and asked where to go. As of now there was only one thing that really stood out as a negative and this is more of a suggestion to heads of the church. I first thought maybe the sound quality may have been old but after hearing the preacher for nearly an hour it seems the echoing of the preacher from not enough noise dampening on the walls made it hard at times to make out what he was saying. I saw there may have been some sound diffusers on the ceiling but maybe there could be more added in time around the room and on the walls to help clear out his voice from the echos. Just a suggestion anyway..all in all this was a great church for my first visit and I do plan on coming back and possibly make this my permanent church, so thank you.

My family and I visited First Baptist Church Clarksville on the last Sunday in Dec 2012. The people in the church were extremely friendly, we were welcomed like we were family and had been there for years. We attended the 8:30 service, their more traditional service, and we really enjoyed it. Large worship center with a balcony area and pews for seating. Not sure how they accomplished a traditional feel with a modern twist, but they did it well. The preschool and children's area was impressive, but more importantly well organized and we felt safe to leave our 1 yr old with people we had never met. We don't live in the area, but if we did, it would be one of the first churches we would attempt to get plugged in at. We were encouraged by their vision to reach out to others, serve their local community, and share the Gospel of Christ. Personal Disclaimer: I am now on staff at First Baptist Church, but was not at the time of our first experience. It's kind of funny/ironic looking back now at my review.
