Have never felt more unwelcome in my life. My son and I just moved to the area, and we were excited to find a new church family, long story short, 2 separate times we attended, and not 1 person introduced themselves, offered to help us with how to become established, nothing. We literally left both times feeling super sad and super unwanted. Jesus washed feet, that's the advice I would give to your congregation. Deeply troubling and disappointing.

This church is great for kids all the way up to grandparents. They have an extensive set of small groups, with over 75% of members participating in one. We love it here!

We are very disappointed. We got rained out and we're unable to see the fireworks show this year. I called to see if they were having their annual Halloween event and I was told that they're not doing it this year. I'm very SAD AND SO disappointed. We have met with many of the people who go to the church and we were so looking forward to seeing them again.

I had a truly special experience on New Year’s Eve in Houston in what would be considered a rough part of town. While attending the party of a new friend in a highly secure condo full of interesting, smart IT people from India and Pakistan, I decided for some reason to wander outside into the dark, where I discovered nearby an old, nondescript building from which gospel music was pouring. As a native Louisianian and lover of Gospel music, I opened a side door and soon learned that I was walking into the oldest African-American church in Houston, built in the late 1800s. The packed room of congregants welcomed me with warm smiles, and I sat in the front pew swaying to the music with them, as the sole white person in a room of wonderful black voices celebrating their faith and the new year. The experience created a 5-star memory I won’t forget.
