I once went there and wore a hat. An older guy came up with a passive-aggressive stance telling me to take it off, then stated he was in the military, trying to communicate I didn't have respect. He told me only women were allowed to wear hats. I wore a hat for multiple reasons, and I didn't feel welcomed there. It happened a while back, but it stuck with me. I wasn't welcomed with open arms but only belittled and ridiculed. I never felt unwelcome in my life. Needless to say, I never went back, and I tell people about my experience often if they mention that church. The church might have changed for the better, but I am skeptical about returning. If you see a new guy walking in the door, have open arms and not be judgmental. I couldn't put one star; it said I hated it. So, two stars for the dislike.

This church needs to do more for the community than lining their pockets. While the alcoholic youth preacher, Brother Shannen teaches us how to be a hypocrite. Kid house burnt down and his parents didn't have the money for the church trip, he ask them for help and didn't get to go. Sadly he isn't religious anymore.
