Answers in Genesis+ Community Church is every one of those things. I love our church! Our pastor's name is Pastor Dean Visser and we couldn't ask for a more God lead man. Dean is a wonderful teacher who constantly challenges us to grow in our faith and relationship with Jesus Christ as well as to gain knowledge and understanding of God's character, word, and will. God and the Holy Spirit are definitely present for our worship and service. We are passionate with our worship and do it to through modern praise music and I have to say that our Praise Team is amazing! We are truly a family at Community church and love to uplift, pray for, and fellowship each other. There are small groups, men's and women's socials, and family events. We also love to serve our community and support international and national missionaries. If you are looking for a church home or just want to come visit you will be welcomed warmly!

We started going to community church a little over 4 years ago. When I say we’ve searched for community like this, and not found it before this church, I’m serious. The people in this church are intentional about building community, taking care of the community in our town and in our church. When there is a need, it is met. The message is always biblically sound and pastor Dean challenges us weekly. The worship, it’s not just about singing songs, it’s about entering into the presence of God. There are people to pray with you and pray over you. If you ask for prayer, there is someone praying. The kids ministry is amazing also. The helpers and Ms. Kim, the leader, pour an incredible amount into our kids. We have 4 kids, and the ones that are in Sunday school learn so much about Jesus and the Bible. Community Church of Mountain City has a heart for bringing people together around Christ. The teaching is biblically sound, the worship is powerful, and the people are welcoming. What I appreciate most is the commitment to real CommUnity — not just Sunday mornings, but doing life together and serving Johnson County. It’s not perfect (no church is), but the people are genuine. If you’re looking for a church that values Scripture, service, and relationships, this is a great place to start.

Community Church is family, hugs, and prayers. I love the way everyone is welcomed . Community Church is comfortable. Our preacher, Dean, shares his message with us, mixed with real life stories, laughter and scripture . Our Worship team is also amazing!

We moved to Mountain City about a year ago and we attended many churches in the area trying to find a church home. From the first day we felt welcome and could see the Holy Spirit working in and through the people at this church. I have 4 children and they all immediately loved attending as well. I have grown so much spiritually since we started to attending Community Church of Mountain City. The people who attend the church are very authentic and do not seem like their personalities change just for church on Sunday. I have also admired their genuine passion for reaching out into the community. And the worship is very passionate with a contemporary style. It brings me to tears for my Lord most weeks. Pastor Tim's messages are very inspiring, relatable, and fun all while being understandable and full of Scriptural truth. It is definitely a church I truly love and am blessed to call my family.

Started going to this church about 6 weeks ago. I have felt so welcome everytime! From the men who have umbrellas on rainy days to walk you in to the ladies who meet you at the door. Then the worship service is by far the best! The worship singers are amazing then Pastor Tim finishes the service with a great God filled message! I wish I could give them more stars cause it is deserved. And that it was more then 1 day a week. Sundays cant get here fast enough

Community Church of Mt City is a wonderful place to worship. Extremely friendly congregation, excellent music and great preaching. CCMC is vibrant with many young families and children. I highly recommend Community Church of Mt City - a Jesus focused worship community.

Community Church is so welcoming. They make me feel like family. Worship is always good. If it's your first time yourey considered a VIP and they give you gifts! And if you can't make it on Sunday morning they do a live broadcast on their FB page.
