It's not the church I really have the issue with, because the maintenance and housekeeping staff are indeed very very nice and friendly,Brent and Miss Linda and the office staff are very very kind and friendly.weve been here on and off since December 2019.My issue is I understand they or the volunteers at figtree don't want problems there and I respect that but when you're not the cause of the problem and you express your frustrations, people try to cut you off and to me that's hurtful especially suffering from anxiety and PTSD because when my wife and I are there we do our absolute best to distance ourselves and do what we need to do and then leave. We really enjoy some of the first volunteers there like Ron,Jack,Walter and Linda, really really great people and we miss Katie,I'm sorry if my post offends anyone not my intention but everyone has the right to be heard within reason

My church for decades and every Sunday is special. Many opportunities to serve others. Come feel God's love through Jesus.

Through the VITA program I schedule a free tax preparation. I was greeted with an open door and a smiling face. Several volunteers stopped by to check in on me during the entire process, the experience was so easy, comfortable, and inviting. To all the volunteers that worked today, you did an excellent job! Thank you very much.

Every Church across America needs to strive to be half of the godsend this Haven is. Everyone smiles, greets you and asks how you're doing today. Just the renewed faith in myself I obtained after visiting one day, is going to carry me further than I could have ever accomplished on my own. And I've only experienced the humanity side of what this establishment has to offer. I can't wait to see what Sunday service entails. Thank you all for what you do!

Friendly and compassionate people doing their best to spread the light and love of Jesus in a positive way. Wonderful community programs, including Hope Initiative, Women’s Connect, and Recovery. A true come as you are environment, where all are welcome. The children’s care staff is phenomenal. I love how real the pastor and staff are- everyone is flawed, yet no one is shamed. I can’t even adequately express how much I love this place.

Started going to this church a year ago and I immediately felt welcome in not only the youth ministry but the church as a whole. Everyone is so kind and willing to care for you so quickly it's almost unbelievable. The first and only other church I've been a member at was a pretty terrible place, but going here has changed me in ways I could never have imagined. I've always felt like an outsider but here I actually feel like I truly belong and that there are people that care about me. The youth ministry is full of incredible staff and students that will welcome you or your child with open arms. Cokesbury also hosts some incredible organizations such as Figtree and Manna House that provide food and other services for the homeless population in Knoxville as well as Suzanna House whcihc provides single mothers in rehab a place to keep their children during the day. Overall this church does amazing things and is full of wonderful people. If you are searching for a welcoming, LGBTQIA friendly, and kind church, please consider Cokesbury.

Most honest, Christ like healing place and people I've ever experienced. Severe situational depression in 2005. Where God brought me to for acceptance and love. Best recommendation I have for anyone with problems bigger than they can handle. Been going ever since. Thursdays at 5 for something to eat. Service at 6. Small groups at 7:30. That's where the healing begins......

Very welcoming and authentic worship. You can wear jeans and you're not frowned upon whatsoever. They offer a recovery program working the 12 steps from a Biblical perspective. Everyone is welcome...this is a safe place to work through your hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
