My husband and I were visiting for our anniversary. Everyone was soooo sweet and welcoming! This will be our church away from home 🥰. The message about comparison was great! We’re excited to continue following the service online. Ms. Debbie and her husband I think Mr. Mark prayed for us. They were also very kind. The ladies at the welcome desks, everyone! You Chattanoogans are spoiled to have such an amazing church in your community lol 😂 💓

We visited this church this past Sunday while in town for a weekend getaway. We stayed at a hotel right across the street from this church and it was a Sunday morning so we decided to go. And how glad we were that we did! We were so blessed by the worship and the WORD. This is a biblically sound, Christ centered, and spirit lead church!

Pastor Shannon always has spectacular things to say. Even if you’re not Christian religious or spiritual at all in anyway. If you go with an open mind and open ears you can learn a lot not just about God, but yourself and the people around you. Recommend this place to everyone.

Super amazing church ⛪️ and I loved it , we are visiting from out of town and made this our home away from home church, you will find the most down to earth people here, good coffee, and a life altering message!! This church had me crying my first visit.

Went there last Sunday and thought it was a home run as to finding a home church after visiting a few in the general area over the past weeks. Music staff was so moving and the preaching was so informative and spot on. Only thing I would say was I wish the preacher Shannon would get Excited and more meaning yell lol but I understand that most people would not like this style. 2nd Felt the presence of the spirt there fill the Sanctuary when he was preaching in a big way.

Never felt God's presence in a church as I do here. The people are all down to earth and are truly Seeking God's presence in their lives. Our preacher is so warm and kind and always willing to help others.

Unexplainable, but if you are seeking an intimate relationship with God, if you are studying and trying to learn more, if you need or want your life transformed, if you need a second, third or more chances to change, and heal, and if you want more of God, and to know who he is and want more of his characteristics in your life... Come to City Church. God will meet you there, come as you are for God is truly compassionate, and he loves you as you are. That may seem as a cliche to you but let me tell you my brothers and sisters come with an open mind and heart, and you will see and understand. God Loves you no matter what!

In brief: Casual, contemporary atmosphere that is welcoming to all ages, and creates space for all to be free to hear the Lord in worship and Word. Details: I was passing through Chattanooga on my way to Alabama, and stopped in for the 9:30 service. On my way in, I was greeted 3 times by Host Team members - once at the front door, another just inside at the information desk, and another as I entered the sanctuary. I saw a wide range of ages in the congregation - from an infant (probably about a month or two old) and their parents across the aisle from me to retirees and everything in between. Dress went from jeans and caps up through "dressy casual". The sanctuary was a bit foggy - I'm guessing from the worship team's practice. The sanctuary opened with a worship set. The worship team consisted of various guitars, keyboard, and drums. Song selection was quite contemporary - including God Turn It Around (released last year), and stretching back about 20 years to Here I Am To Worship. Announcements and prayer followed. The pastor was out, so the sermon was given by an elder who gave off a great feeling of kindness. He's been part of City Church for about 30 years. The sermon was topical, with Scripture references from throughout the Bible sprinkled in - emphasizing the need for rest, in light of the chaotic world in which we've lived over the past few years, and had a strong application.

First time visit, met a sweet woman @ the Welcome Center, who previously lived near where I just moved from, 2,500 miles away 😆😄 ☝️🌈 Enjoyed worship, & message. I am sure leadership is very aware of the difficult acoutistics in the sanctuary. Because of the high ceilings, the musician/singer to the far right, could barely be heard & it's just a bit unsettling. Outside the sanctuary, are large areas with comfy sitting on couches & chairs and a coffee bar in the back. Beware, they close it before 2nd service let's out 🙂 Look forward to visiting again. Merry Christmas 🎁
