Every day I walk by this preschool going to class and there is always drugged out homeless people with bad attitudes sitting around the preschool, the church does nothing to protect teachers/kids from the influence of seeing homeless people …

We love this church family—caring people, welcoming environment, excellent outreach during the pandemic, and, most of all, a dedication to showing the love of Jesus to our brothers and sisters in this community (whether that be church members, visitors, or those in need).

30 years ago, my son attended kindergarten here. I would drop him off in the morning, then walk up to my graduate classes at UT. I have such fond memories of the kind, wise woman who ran the school. Wish I could remember her name as she was such a wonderful supportive, knowledgeable professional. My son's teacher was Lauryn, a young woman with a sound education and talent for early childhood and a dedicated teacher. She really knew her students and they loved her. A special program the kindergarten had that year was paring the children with a senior citizen from the congregation who would spend time interacting with the kids. Kind of like "honorary grandparents." A very special church that helped me out so much. Great memories for the year 1988 for these newcomers to Knoxville from Alaska.

Sweet, caring and very accommodating to you and your loved ones during the most difficult of times. Losing a loved one is terrible and heartbreaking, but Church Street United Methodist made the memorial for our lost loved one worry free.

Greed on full display today charging $5 to park. Thousands of car spaces in the lot, but home show makes it possible to charge for parking, when the right thing to do is allow people to park like they do every other day off the week. Don't even try to justify it. It's not a donation, it's straight greedy behaviour.

This is one of, if not the only church in Knoxville/ Knox county that seems to follow their namesakes teachings. May God bless this church and its people.

They are a welcoming place, with many varied programs for kids up through the elderly. Currently, they allow some local performing groups to rehearse there, including the famous Knoxville Gay Men's Chorus, and the subgroups thereof, Choral Fixation, and Pitches Please.

Church Street UMC has been my church for over 30 years. It's such a blessing in my life. Great worship services, and so many opportunities to serve the community.

It is beautiful. There is a prayer courtyard on the southeast side of the church. It is about .4 miles for 12 minutes walk around the church and it's facilities.
