He is truly committed to honoring God in handling scripture with great reverance and care in expository preaching, bringing forth the Word of God, unaltered. There is no "tickling of the ears"! Reformed theology is taught and genuine care of the inerrant scriptures is here. If you are committed to loving the Lord with all your mind, soul and spirit this is the place for you. You will be filled.

If you are looking for a watered down gospel, entertainment centered, feel good church then you might want to go to elsewhere. If you want to hear expository, exegetical, preaching then you found a good home. It's a very Bible based Church that believes in scripture alone, in Grace alone, through faith alone, for God's glory alone.

Great biblically grounded expository preaching! Worship music was true to God's word and rich with theology. The preaching was deep and the pinnacle of the worship service. Christ was honored and proclaimed and if I lived in Tennessee, this would be my church!

What are you looking for in a church? A social club? A place to meet others? A place to have your "ears tickled" w/the latest doctrines that sound good and fit the current culture? A church that suits your and your family's needs? THEN stay out. You will not like CBC. Yes, you will find fellowship and meet others at our church. And, we try to strive and meet the needs of members and families as far as it doesn't compromise the Word. BUT, you will find a pastor who preaches the Word in an expository manner and is dedicated to teaching and serving. You will find a congregation that supports this, that is eager to learn more of God and His Word, to serve Him, and to lead others to Him. And, from my observation as a member for almost 20 years, most members that I know are the same on Tues or Wed or Fri. as they are on Sunday morning. That encourages me.

I we invited to the forth of July fire works/ cookout. The fellowship and food was just like it's supposed to be. Down home with a warm welcome. The music and fireworks display was amazing. Me and my kids have an evening we will never forget. Thank you the church and its members for opening your hearts and doors to us.

The pastor is both a preacher and a shepherd. Sermons are Biblically based. Folks in the congregation are warm and friendly. Small to medium sized congregation.

Enjoyed my visit and everyone so friendly. I attended a great Bible class presented by Bob Lohmen. Will revisit…plenty of parking and ease of accessibility for physically challenged.

We’ve been looking for an expository teaching church since we moved to TN a couple of years ago and Calvary Bible Church is the only one we’ve found where the teaching is exceptional, good worship music and people are nice, There are also various Bible studies available, monthly fellowship luncheons, lots of serving opportunities, etc. it’s really a great all around church and worth the 35 min drive for us.

The teaching is always Christ centered and bible based. The people are so inviting. And, the worship music is just perfect!
