  A really interesting piece of history. I only wish there was more documentation at the site on the history of the church and of the families who continue to lay their loved ones to rest there.

  We visited early in November 2024 on a Tuesday morning a little after 8AM. There was 1 cars in the parking area when we arrived and 1 was pulling up as we were leaving. It was nice to explore the church and cemetery without a ton of people around. Nothing super noteworthy but very nice to get out and walk around a bit while going through the loop. There was a piano in there in pretty rough shape.

  My grandparents camped the Smokies 50+ years ago and became super lost as the sun was setting. They saw this church and were able to find their way back to their campground. I visited it to spread some of their ashes in the meadow behind the gravesite. I’m not really religious but the aged aesthetic evoke a sense of calm and peace. The Cades Cove area as a whole is beautiful.

  We really enjoyed visiting the Cades Cove Methodist Church. The building has a very peaceful feel about it and you can almost imagine services here. The pastor, John D. mcCampbell, built this building in 1902. The two front doors adds a lot of balance to the style and the building is in excellent condition for its age.

  Our visit was a stop along the way to Nashville. I played Amazing Grace on the piano and it is a precious memory. No one else was in the church. We also toured the cemetery injesting history of the past.

  I had a wonderful experience visiting the Cades Cove Methodist Church. Its historical significance as the second church in Cades Cove, dating back to 1902, is truly captivating. There are two entry doors and the purpose of this was that men enter and sit on one side with women and children on the other side. The presence of the antique piano adds to the authenticity. The cemetery behind the church has over 100 graves. While you can't wander among the tombstones, a loop path allows you for respectful exploration. Convenient parking is available nearby. It's fascinating that the church can even be rented for weddings, blending history with celebration. A short 15-30-minute visit is ample to appreciate the church and its cemetery. Whether you're a history enthusiast or seeking a unique wedding venue, don't miss this gem in Cades Cove.

  This Church was so beautiful! It takes you back to a simpler time. The old upright piano & wooden benches were full of history. If the walls could talk what a story they would tell!

  Pretty cool place that we stopped at on the Cades Cove 11 Mile scenic route. There was also a cemetery next to the church.
