  The members of this church are very welcoming and friendly followers of Jesus Christ. I travelled cross-country to Rapid City to visit my mom, who is getting older and has difficulty walking. I found this church so I could attend Sacrament service and I brought my mom along as a visitor. Thank you so much to all who helped her and greeted us with open arms. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints brings me great joy and peace. This Rapid City ward and church showed how special this church is, how I can travel a long distance and still find my people , strangers who feel like family and friends. I hope my mom will return to this church, if she feels the spirit as I did.

  My wife, four daughters, and I enjoy attending church here. We have been attending at this location since moving to Rapid City one year ago. It's good to know that all the leaders, teachers, etc. are volunteering their time and talents to help others learn and come closer to Jesus Christ. The sacrament service, which is similar to communion, is the first hour and Sunday school is the second hour. There are three different congregations that meet at this building and the start times are 9:00 AM, 10:30 Am, and 12:00 PM. The best part is that speakers are chosen from the congregation. There are even youth speakers! It's empowering hearing from people like you and me and hearing their experiences and how Christ has blessed them. Come and meet friendly community members while strengthening faith in Christ.

  My family and I love coming here each Sunday! The members are very welcoming and the messages are always inspiring and centered on Jesus Christ. The first hour, we meet as a whole congregation to take the sacrament and the second hour, we break into Sunday school classes. My kids love attending Primary where they sing songs and learn from the scriptures. They especially love meeting with peers!

  Wonderful Church! The members are like a big family who really care for one another. The sermons help me draw closer to Jesus Christ and know Him and recognize His hand in my life. You can feel their faith in their genuine love. The children’s classes have music and great lessons about Christ from the scriptures. Youth programs are active and provide lessons, life skill development, fun activities and service opportunities. There is a strong emphasis on youth leadership. Women’s organizations are lead by women and women play a large role in church leadership councils. There are many opportunities for service to others and the community. Sermons and lessons are from the scriptures and include lessons which can be taught in the home. People are accepted for who they can become. Love of the Savior and our neighbor is at the foundation of this church. We are all God’s children He loves us all and all are welcomed here. Come and join us today.

  I love the church where you can feel the love of the savior and get a fresh start to your week having reminded yourself of the covenants you have made through baptism. Our ward (one of three) is so friendly and loving that you can just feel welcome and the warmth of the savior. I'm glad we have the knowledge of the gospel and can work to uplift each other together.

  The congregation is very welcoming. The chapel is peaceful allowing you to contemplate the greater meaning of life. The church leaders and members of the congregation share uplifting messages that are based on scripture. After leaving I feel inspired to be a better person…to be a true disciple of Christ.

  I visited this ward twice during my tour of America, such a friendly lot of people. Felt like I was part of the ward family during my 2nd visit. Has been a memorable visit that I won't forget for years to come. Thank you Bishop Piper and all Church members for making me feel welcome.

  I love this church! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming to me and my family. They are truly Christians acting as Christ would. They have great meetings on Sunday and activities for youth and adults throughout the week. Some activities are on hold because of Covid-19, but we'll get back and we are making the best of the current situation.

  From the first day I attended here I have been welcomed and loved. The people in this church will receive you with open arms. They are loving and kind, as true followers of Jesus Christ strive to be. I always feel good when I am involved with these wonderful people.

  My husband and I are snow birds and travel so we are always looking for a congregation to attend in new areas. This is the second year we have come back to the Black Hills Ward. They are so laid back and welcoming. We feel a special spirit of the Lord in this building and especially in this ward. We feel at home.
