I like the people. But when you go to a worship service, it should never be about the person's vacation. Even if pastor is gone, crack open that bible! Because that is the best way to help the congregation. And NEVER belittle anyone's question. Help everyone find answers... Because you will too. God isn't on a time limit. When we go to church... We go to know him and worship him. Not man.
