Recently joined this church and so glad I did! Pastor Connor's sermons are always thorough and easy to understand, making you think of how the sermon applies to you and your life. The core team is amazing as well! They make you feel welcome and right at home! So glad I came!I hadn't been to church in a few years bc of hurt from a previous church. Ucc really helped me overcome my church anxiety from before and now I love my church family!

Pastor Conner and Bobby and the staff are amazing, they made us feel at home the first time we walked through the door. I personally like the calm focused and detailed sermon style, over the other yelling or John 3:16 every week sermons I’ve seen at other churches. I feel I get more out of it then just another Sunday sermon.

Been a part of this church for a year, and feel this is where God has led me to serve. Leadership is over the top, with big visions for the glory of God's kingdom. I feel safe here, despite what another reviewer said below. All people working with children go through background checks, which gives me peace of mind when leaving my kids in the locked kid's area. Pastor Connor preaches truth straight from the Bible. Everyone is welcome here-the felons, the agnostic, non believing, the rich, the poor, everything in between that I didn't mention. God welcomes all, so does Upstate Community Church. You will most likely make a friend from the get go, especially if you run into me. I really like that services start at 10, and I am able to do errands after church before the big crowds rush into stores and restaurants. Come visit! Come as you are- you won't be sorry.

We have been part of Upstate Community Church since moving to Boiling Springs last year. We love the small church atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. We have enjoyed helping with various community outreach events like VBS and Fall Festival. Pastor Connor brings clear, concise, relevant and challenging messages. My wife and I highly recommend UCC.

I am new to SC and it only took one visit to Upstate Community Church to know I was home! Pastor Connor is an extremely talented Pastor. His messages are Bible driven, thought provoking and he is able to pull everything together into a practical application for your life. I immediately met so many new friends, and “friends of God” which is exactly what I was looking for. This is a multi cultural, multi aged group of people who love the Lord and are committed to moving His kingdom forward. You will immediately feel at home and “be well fed”!!!

Upstate has been such a Blessing to our family! The moment we stepped in, we honestly were just coming into visit, but now Upstate Community is our Home Church! Pastor Conner and Kayla have such a great church community growing. We love being able to see the Lord work, hear the gospel and watch our kids grow each Sunday!

My husband and I, have recently joined Upstate. It’s very welcoming to everyone, you feel like you can be yourself and call this church home. If you want to get involved you can and they are very welcoming and open to hearing about your strengths and passions. Pastor Connor is amazing, always has a great message and each time you leave you want to come right back. I would encourage anyone looking for a place to call home to check it out.

I visited in spring 2025 and had concerns about someone I recognized from local news coverage. When I brought these concerns to Pastor Connor, I received no response whatsoever. This lack of communication and apparent disregard for congregation safety concerns was very troubling to me. I would recommend being cautious and doing your own research before getting involved. In response to the church's comment below, they were sent multiple emails with links to all 5 WLOS reports and an FBI investigation report for the person in question and did nothing, including replying to my concerns at all. They clearly do not take this seriously.
