In the first moment that my family walked into The Refuge Murrells Inlet, we were met by Pastor Benji and immediately felt the genuine love He has for the Lord and the Kingdom. Benji is a humble, loving and spirit led pastor. When he speaks, preaches, and teaches, it’s with an excitement and love for God and that is contagious. It’s a hard feeling to describe but upon first meeting him, he felt immediately familiar, like family, like I had known him my whole life. I’m hearing from God every week, surrounded by a loving fellowship, and leaving church feeling spiritually filled and encouraged. We are seeing God at work, answering prayers, doing miracles. Refuge MI is all the things a healthy church should be! Shout out to Pastor Shawn (AKA Handyman Hal) and Patty Wham whose love and talents amaze me every week. For a smaller church, what they are able to do with children’s and teen ministry and community involvement/events is unbelievable. This is a church and fellowship you just have to come and experience for yourself, and we can’t wait to greet you with Jesus’ love and grow spiritually with you as church family.

The Refuge Murrells Inlet is exactly what church should be. Not only is everyone welcoming but loving. I instantly felt like part of a family and that bond has only grown since the first time I walked through the door. The church is also very community oriented, feeding the needy on Christmas Day and giving essential items to those who need them. If you’re looking for a family that works together to help people and bring them closer to Jesus then this is where you belong.

I moved here two months ago, my wife and I from day one felt welcome at this house of worship. The pastor brings it every Sunday, everything we do revolves around Jesus they have a great men’s program, if you want a church where your truly going to Be connected, I highly recommend the refuge of Murrells Inlet

If you are looking for a smaller church that will love and accept you, then the Refuge Murrells Inlet is for you. You will be taught the Word of God and be blessed by sound preaching and anointed praise and worship. There is a place for you no matter what age group you belong to.

Excellent place to worship. We had a funeral there and the people were amazing and supportive. Will go back the next time I'm at Murrell's Inlet.
