Pretty Place is truly one of the most breathtaking spots in South Carolina. From the moment you arrive, the view just stops you in your tracks. Overlooking the mountains with that iconic cross in the center it’s peaceful, powerful and honestly unforgettable. The atmosphere is incredibly calm and spiritual, whether you’re there for sunrise, sunset, or just a quiet moment to reflect. Everything is well kept and clean and you can tell this place means a lot to the community. Pictures don’t even do it justice you have to experience it in person. It’s the perfect place for photos, a peaceful escape or just to clear your mind. If you’re anywhere near the area, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We got engaged at Pretty Place Chapel and it was absolutely perfect. The cross that overlooks the mountains is breathtaking and makes the entire view feel so peaceful and special. What a truly amazing experience. Worth the 3 hour drive. I brought my person for his birthday. We witnessed two marriage proposals, so sweet. The only drawback was the woman who was security was rude. 5 minutes before closing, while a woman was singing Amazing Grace, she was like "stop singing, y'all got to go."

It's free to enter. I do not recommend going on the weekends. They hold private events and weddings during the weekend. And do not have it open to the public. But I totally do recommend going plan for a weekday, though. It was the most breathtaking sunrise.I've ever seen in my entire life.And it brought tears to my eyes

Absolutely beautiful place! Watching the sunrise from here is a dream! This chapel made me feel at peace and filled me with a desire to sing praises... I felt spiritually uplifted. The only downside is that it can get really crowded, even on weekdays, but it is worth visiting the view regardless.

If you haven't had a chance to enjoy sunrise at the Pretty Place Chaple, this is your PSA to make it happen. I arrived at 6am Friday morning, and took a front row seat to the most amazing sight. As light first began to break over the Upstate, I watched as God created a masterpiece. Pushing in just the right amount of clouds and using every color on his palate. It left me speechless, full of happiness and beyond thankful. If you're not aware, you're loved and He'll never give you more than you can handle. When you place it in his hands and let him take control, don't be surprised when he moves mountains and opens doors you couldn't. Keep your head up and find your peace. From my heart to yours, I love you! If you need anything, I'm right here.

Absolutely stunning! This is a bucket list item for sure! As others have said, it's imperative that you check to see if they're open for public viewing when planning your trip. Port-o-potty on site. No hiking, parking lot comes right up to the chapel.

Absolutely amazing place to visit. I recomend everyone see it at least once in there lifetime. Fresh mountain air, breathtaking views and a perfect place to spend a little quit time with God!

The view is just like the pictures, beautiful. The challenge is driving up and up the mountain but once park and experiencing the Lord’s handy work you forget all about the climb.
