The only church thats ever felt like home. Everyone is on first name basis with the pastor and his family. Its a close-knit community, and very welcoming to newcomers. Wear sweats, blue jeans, or your best dress, they will accept you as you are. Pastor Joey teaches right from the Bible, straight from the Word, without any biases but adds his own personal relatable stories and makes you feel like you're listening to an old friend. You'll never be bored. The band is great, the children's centers are filled with loving people that teach your kids the love of God, and the student center guides the young adults into leadership for Christ. There's dozens of groups to plug into and tons of ways to serve the community. And even a coffee shop:) stop by and bring your friends and family!

A lot of energy, but no fellowship. Finally left because it appeared they are more focused on putting more people in chairs, even went from 2 services to 3, but it was difficult to connect with people. Glad I moved on.

My family started going to Summerbrook almost 3 years ago. Before this we had been searching for a place to call home for many many years. There were bits and pieces of other churches that we truly enjoyed but there was always one thing missing, community. True community. Selfless community. Christ based community. From the start, we felt welcomed and felt like we were a part of family. Strongly recommend anyone coming to Worship with us:)

My wife and I are members. It is a Bible teaching church that stays relevant to our culture while still upholding traditional Christian principles. We are welcoming and friendly. It is a growing and dynamic church with something for every age. The worship music is contemporary Christian. There is a lot of positive and uplifting energy here. We are a praying church at every service and event as well as dedicated prayer time on Thursday mornings.

Worst experience of life. I know the Bible and I felt that the church twisted it. Very insensitive to losses of loved ones or miscarriages. I heard personal stories from people and tried to connect but never could. There welcome bags are a scam and the main people there just want your money. Drama church! I felt threatened there.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome gift bag that was delivered today. Your thoughtful gesture made me feel truly welcomed and a part of this wonderful community. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I wanted to let you know that I'm excited to visit your church soon. Blessings

I have been here several times and I enjoy the atmosphere. The people are friendly and helpful which isn't something that you experience at every church. I also enjoy the worship music because it is modern. I still appreciate the older hymns, but don't enjoy worship as much when it's only the older stuff. I will continue to attend for these reasons.

I'm from Kansas City, MO and I visited this church yesterday for the 11:30am service. I was welcomed from the door all the way to my seat. The worship was passionate and anointed. The message was direct and relevant. I reviewed online several churches in South Carolina, and chose this one because of the previous detailed comments. The church is about 40 min from where I'm currently staying, but I'm glad we made the drive.

I have been going for seven years, but I joined four years ago right after my wedding (had to still go to my parents’ church for the first three years). Ever since I first set foot as my husband’s girlfriend, I have been welcomed with opened arms, and loved on through many different seasons of life. I am beyond thankful for this Church family and am so happy to be a memeber of a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching, Christ-centered church! God is definitely present during worship and can certainly speak through Pastor Joey - you can not deny His presence here!

I’ve never been to a church where I felt so welcome and comfortable. Outstanding worship, relatable and enlightening sermons, and amazingly warm and welcoming fellowship. I have two young children as well who I have seen grow and thrive in the children’s program. My heart is full. I’ve found my church home for sure!

Pastor Brian obviously devotes a lot of study and prayer to his sermons. His messages are not only solid, but they also have a lot of depth. He is not afraid to challenge us when we need it, although he always makes it clear that he is speaking as a fellow sojourner on the path to being like Jesus. The youth ministry ("Collision") is very strong. Pastor Tim's teaching is excellent, very real and practical. Our teens have a lot of fun, too. Although Summerbrook is growing rapidly, there is plenty of opportunity for friendship in our community groups. Typically 10 - 12 members per group meet in a home each week to share fellowship, food, study and prayer. The groups are a great way to get to know people in the church, and more importantly to grow in discipleship. The women's ministry events have enjoyed outstanding participation. This is another area in which God is really moving.

This is the best church i have found in south carolina. I felt an instant connection as soon as i walked in the doors. My wife and i have been looking for a good church for a few years and now that we have a baby on the way we are really buckeling down. This church has the most loving atmosphere. Every person and volunteer is so helpful and kind here. The pastor is great at sharing the message, and tries to shake hands with everybody in there. We have joined a small group here, and it helps my wife and i tremendously. I would highly reccomend this church to any christian couple.

I really like this church. I've tried several around the Summerville area and this one feels like a family. The message is always something that can be applied into daily life and provides inspiration. I highly recommend to give it a try if you've been looking for a church that feels authentic to the Christian message. It's a wonderful church!

My husband and I visited for the first time today. The sermon was good. Offers of prayer support made available. The music was exceptional. Everyone made us feel welcome. This was a good experience.

Summerbrook has been our home for the last year and a half. I'm born and raised here in Charleston and have been to many churches. Summerbrook is different. The first Sunday we visited, we met Pastor Brian on the way out of the sanctuary and when we came back the following Sunday he remembered our names. Pastor Brian spends a lot of time devoted to his sermons. They have been amazing.

This church is incredibly loving, caring, and welcoming and most importantly to me, genuine. It starts from the top down, and by that I mean that it refreshingly starts with God! Leading the way for the staff, is the senior Pastor Brian Burton, who allows God to speak through him and guide his sermons by unapologetically speaking God's word. Pastor Burton largely and justifiably sticks to scripture and doesn't deviate with an excess of opinion-based ideals or plans for life, but more-so gives excellent explanations of how the scripture can be applied to everyday life. Pastor Burton's sense of historical significance and his explanation of backstories of the times at hand or the history of the situation surrounding the scripture makes the Bible come to life for myself and helps a lifelong church-goer understand that much more, and it is truly appreciated by myself and many others. Summerbrook is very blessed to have someone like Brian, who puts so much of himself and his heart for God in each of his sermons. Summerbrook has a group of excellent supporting pastors, deacons and works its way through the entire church staff who all work in unison to make your visit a wonderful experience, whether it is your first visit or if you've been a member of the church for years. As a sidenote, I happened across another review comparing Summerbrook to Seacoast(?) and having personally been to both on several occasions, we're talking apples and oranges about as much as you possibly can. Seacoast is a very nice and pleasant place of worship and I know the family of the pastor, but again apples and oranges guys.
