My husband and I were looking for a place for our daughter to find a strong Christian community in high school and ended up finding a wonderful church for ourselves, too. We immediately sensed the Holy Spirit was very active. Pastor Daniel has always been very knowledgeable but humble and focused on honoring the Lord and depending on Scripture, sound doctrine, prayer, and faith. We started going two years ago this week and joined a few months later. It has been such a wonderful place for all of us to grow in our faith, to plug in, to serve, to find small groups. It has been wonderful. We highly recommend it.

Although I no longer attend Shandon Baptist, full disclosure, I grew up here. My parents are still active members and have been there for 40 years. I take my family to the Singing Christmas Tree every year and continue to feel the same level of love and hospitality as I did growing up there. There's truly something for everyone here. Singles of all ages, couples from all walks and stages of life, people who are new to church and those who have grown up attending. Youth and college groups, young professionals everyone truly has a special place to belong. I also appreciate the fact that they have plenty of assistance and even special care for people with all levels of disabilities. The children's ministry is particularly wonderful here and one that I am currently a bit more familiar with. My children love attending when they spend weekends with their grandparents. They are never bored and classes are age appropriate. The music ministry is phenomenal here. Some of the most talented musicians in the midlands are a part of the music program. They have both traditional and contemporary styles of worship, do no matter what you prefer, there is a service you can feel comfortable worshipping in. The people here are some of the most wonderful and caring people that I have ever known. If you're looking for a new church home, I'd definitely encourage you to visit Shandon with your family. Loving others where they are and developing their personal relationship with Christ is central to the mission of this church. Be sure to check-in at a visitor's welcome area so that you can more easily find classes and information instead of feeling overwhelmed by the size. Yes, it's big. But I can assure you that it is just a big big family, and there will always be room for you and others.

This is amazing place to adore God. The Pastor Daniel is a good man of God, he studied at the Bible college, he is good at his preaching and it shows when someone loves God. If you are looking for a Christian Baptist church here they will make you feel at home, our 2 years in Shandon were pleasant, they have activities of all kinds and for children the Bible studies are excellent. They have a beautiful school. Children's pastor Mike also represents what a man of God is, everyone is respectful. When there were prayer requests, my family put our request and God heard the prayers of the pastor and the members. Within days, God had done great things for our family. Thank you Pastor Daniel and leadership, they made us feel at home.

I have known the Lord as long as I can remember. I've never felt like I belong anywhere, until I visited there this morning. Thank you father for bringing me to Shandon. I finally feel like I do matter and I belong in God's house.
