My family attended Second from 2011-2014. This church changed our lives. Pastor Phillips' sermons are rich, convicting, riveted to the Scriptures, and full of Christ. The worship is timeless, reverent, and excellent. The transforming power …

Wonderful worship service with excellent traditional music and high content insightful expository preaching. Congregation was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Wished we lived in Greenville so we could become members and worship here every Sunday.

Husband and I attended an evening service here during election week 2024, and one of the pastors chose to include in his prayer, "Some people here tonight believe there's nothing wrong with a man living as a woman, or illegal immigrants pouring into our country," etc., and praying for these hearts/views to be changed. It sent a clear message that this church endorses certain political views, and thought it was more important to convey those views rather than a message of unity, peace, or grace on the Sunday before election day. This was a huge turnoff for us as first-time visitors, and may not be a great fit for you if you are looking for a church that leaves its politics at home or at least welcomes believers from across the political spectrum.

Rick Phillips is an outstanding expository preacher, and the order of worship is a classic, traditional Presbyterian service.

Driving up to this beautiful church made me think that I was entering into another time frame. The building outside and inside was lovely and well situated. I was only there a short time, but I would love to visit again. The chapel off to the side that they must use for funerals was lovely and well thought out for visiting family members.

Friendly church with older and younger members. Great preacher. Beautiful 19th century architecture. Highly recommend for travelers and those looking for a church home that is mature and vibrant. Wednesday night community dinner is a plus.

God's word is preached faithfully here and is central to the worship which is reverent and God-glorifying. The beautiful, Scripture-filled music is rich and enhances one's ability to worship in truth.

This is a wonderful group of believers that proclaim the good news in a clear manner. I have had the opportunity to minister and worship with them on several occasions, and each time, it has been a rich experience that has been deeply rewarding. A wonderful assembly of people.

A traditional, formal PCA Presbyterian church. Songs sung from Hymnals. The pastor is an excellent teacher, and is spot on with his teachings. You won't be mislead here. If you can't handle the truth, then Second Presbyterian is not for you

We attended last Fall when we visited Greenville. Now we are making our way thru the area again and are returning to Greenville on the weekend specifically to attend church there again and ride the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Two reasons to return to the great little town of Greenville. We love St. Andrews Chapel in Sanford, FL and this is much like that on a smaller scale.

This is a God fearing, Bible believing, uncompromising on Bible truth. Bible is taught here with excellent pastors who do not compromise biblical truth.
