A must-see if you're in the area. When I arrived it was a early Monday afternoon in late May and I was totally alone. It was quiet. The road it sits on wasn’t busy and felt more like a back road. I was able to really walk around and take a close look at everything, read the signs, and absorb the scene. The vibes were very real and appreciated.

Interesting if you are nearby. The bugs were awful the day we went so we weren’t able to stay long. The Egyptian Revival funerary style mausoleum is a little creepy with the area for three caskets open with loose debris visible. Not well maintained but interesting.

It's worth a visit only if you are in the area. There's one sign that says you have to get permission to have an event here... no historical info The structure is made of a cement mixture with seashells. Looks like there was a smooth cement finish at one time evident on the upper walls Several gravestone nearby that are mostly broken and difficult to read.

Such a beautiful piece of history hidden away on the side of the road. We stopped by for a few minutes to explore, and ended up spending almost an hour there. We loved feeling the seashells on the bones of the Parish. There were dozens of headstones to read. The whole atmosphere of the area had a tranquil feel to it, and drew us in. We didn't want to leave. The grounds welcomed us like an old friend. Take a little time to explore the grounds for yourself! Definitely worth a stop.

Beautiful, historic, placid, and free. An easily accessible stop only a couple of minutes out of the way if you're going to Hunting Island SP. There's a historical market that tells a little, but so much more can be learned! It's a beautiful photogenic spot best visited when the lighting conditions are perfect. We arrived a few minutes after the sun had dipped, with a sky that was still fully lit with soft roses and oranges. We were too rushed to fully explore the burial grounds, but we'll be back next year. Big thank yous to whomever maintains this beautiful historic ruins! Our family loved it!

When we visited it was a quiet rainy day. We were the only people there. It feels a little magical standing within the walls while looking up at the sky, knowing how long ago others stood in the same spot as I was standing. Inside the remains of that church, you can imagine the songs that probably filled that space.
