This was a beautiful place of history to visit. There is a beautiful church, I believe also utilized as a courthouse at that time. Many veterans of the World Wars and symbolic grave sites. There was a posting stating that you may enter the church twice a month, as an open house. ( call for specific dates and times, due to Covid restrictions). There are beautiful views and there is an area to sit, possibly picnic, if desired, in a covered cabana. Inside the church is a beautiful organ, as pictured. There is also a sign in book at the front door of the church. A must see for veterans. Happy to have experienced this area.

A wonderful place to see and learn about HISTORY! It is a beautiful place to come and enjoy nature while reading information about local history. They have a little area with a picnic bench under a shelter. My family and I come here on beautiful sunny days, just to step back from the everyday fast/electronic filled life. If you visit on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month between April 28th - October 27th, you can have the opportunity to experience what it was like to be a member of the church in the past. They have kept up with maintenance of the building, but have kept the inside as original as possible. On occasion they will have events held by the historical society. It's a wonderful time machine in the middle of a modern world.

A really neat piece of old history. If you like viewing old cemetery then there are some really old ones here. Its a quite place if you enjoy walking through the old cemetery and learning a little about the area. Also a good place to catch pokemon..

Built in the 1820s, the church is the last remain structure of the original Pickens County seat. It is adjacent to the Craig Family Cemetery which was moved to this location when the Keowee valley was flooded. Visitors are welcome during the day. (Duke Power provides security.)

4 for historical significance. I want to put 5 but the way the signage explaining the history is all but unreadable I can't. The signage is important, that's what let's people know who, what, why, where. Rest of the property is usually maintained good. They've added a building that looks entirely out of place but it does have some historical pictures. Be cool if it looked time period.

The cemetery isn't the best maintained and a huge number of the graves are damaged or have no names, or, according to the things saying how many were moved, completely unmarked. The church is plain and unimpressive. Still, the grounds have potential and the view from the lower section of the cemetery is great.
