My husband and I ALWAYS visit Oceanview church when we are in town! The people are so friendly, music is absolutely amazing and most importantly the message is so powerful! Love it!

Oceanview Baptist is absolutely a wonderful environment for worshiping the Lord. The Pastor's are all knowledgeable and compassionate to the needs of the members and to anyone outside the church. The spirit of everyone is wonderful. I am so glad God led me to Oceanview. I highly suggest if you are looking for a church that you come to Oceanview Baptist and see and feel for yourself.

I like the church and pastor Terry is a great pastor I love his presentation of the Bible. Maybe it's just me but I don't know why they keep it so dark in there I can't even hardly find a seat I have to stand there for like 5 minutes for my eyes to adjust to be able to see a chair. That and I like to be able to look at people in the congregation. Other than that it's a great church but I'm not sure if I'm going to return anymore I just walked out of the service cuz I got tired of waiting for my eyes to adjust to see for a chair

Went here for a play, I have no idea about the actual church and services but the building was beautiful and the church folks that were hosting there were very hospitable. They really showed the hands and feet of Jesus, opening their doors to allow this play and all the work that comes with that. As a pastor myself I understand how taxing these things can be on top of all the ministry and devices that are already in place.

Been here several times. Love the music. Sermons are extremely well prepared and convicting, to say the least.

This church kicked a church member behind closed doors for being falsely being accused of being gay. No prove no evidence only hear say from someone that they never met that attended there over 20 years prior. Kicked them out of choir and praise team and told them they were not even allowed to come into the church to tell people bye after they were kicked out and told they couldn’t attend and this person had a degree in church music and was very gifted and served this church well. Lots of nasty things go on behind closed doors at Ocean view Baptist , Pastor Terry is the ring leader of lots of bad decisions and hurting people and the church for his own agenda!!!

Nope. Didn't feel the spirit much here. Worship/singing was ok, but not very inspirational - basically the same song (key, beat, pace, etc) with different words. The singers were very good. The woman at one entrance of the sanctuary apparently felt like it was her job to touch everyone on the arm as they walked by her, to guide them in - like children? Preacher was a performer, lacked authenticity, didn't seem genuine to me. His sermon lacked focus. Spent way too much time on a simple analogy. Instead of "hunger & thirst for justice" being about 'desire' or 'desire for good' it was something else. Instead of 'justice' being about praying for God's justice and will it was something else. He didn't talk to those who experienced injustice in their lives at time - which would be an obvious thing to do. They focus on chasing happiness rather than having a meaningful life. Instead of focusing on asking for God's will in your life, to be dependent on God - he had a few trivial examples of 'try to do it yourself'. He didn't mention Jesus much at all. So in my opinion the sermon was kind of a performance that didn't hit the meaningful aspects of the scripture.

Nice Baptist Church. Traditionally accustomed to a more conservative service but still enjoy attending.

Exceptional fellowship and music. A true blessing to experience this outpouring of Christian love. The musicians should be thanked for all the time they must spend preparing for this fellowship experience. Thank you to Pastor David for teaching about the origin of Yahweh Yireh. Blessings to this church family . I’m new here, and loving it.

A fantastic and welcoming place. The overall feel is comfortable and casual; though we saw folks "dressed up" too, if that's your preference. The band was really tight and well ehearsed. The message was on point and provoked lots to think about without anybody shouting at us. We felt very comfortable leaving our 19 month old grandson in the nursery and he really enjoyed himself the whole time we were in church. I think if my family lived in this area we would be very comfortable making this church our home.

Today I'm very sad that I planned my families entire day around the 11:30 service. The first thing I did this morning was check the website to make sure there were no changes in the services. The website said Dec 31st 11:30 service. I understand your congregation may know the changes. But for the people who visit when in town...we wouldn't know the changes. I could've easily made the 9 or 10. Instead of eating out we could've just eaten at the hotel and made it to the service. We love visiting the church when in town. The pastor gives an amazing word and the praise and worship is also great. But in the future please update your homepage to reflect the times that are available for service. Not only was I turned away at the door but many more that assumed the website was correct. Happy New Years.... Thanks,

Edited: 12-15-2024 So glad that we attended one of the 3 Sunday services. What an amazing praise & worship team! The door greeters are very welcoming and helpful. Been coming here 5months now and we enjoy it very much.

Pastor Terry is a great speaker. He brings the Bible passages to life so they are easily understood. He interjects a lot of humor as well. I attend the 8.30 service and everyone is friendly and welcoming, especially when considering that it is a large church. The choir and orchestra are terrific. Dress is jeans casual up to Sunday best. However you are comfortable will work. FYI, the pastor wears jeans. The coffee in the lobby area is good too 😊

Visiting from Ohio, visited your church August 6th. Wow, we appreciated your service! The music was so nourishing, great blend of hymns and contemporary music for all ages and musicians so talented! Pastor so clearly reminded us of what communion is all about and the dialogue about the Nicaragua missions trip encouraged our hearts! We are in ministry ourselves and fully appreciate what goes into a single service to minister to others and provide the atmosphere where God's Spirit can work. Thank you for your faithfulness! We were impacted and blessed for having worshipped at your church!

Great service. Would continue to go but there’s a very strong flowery odor inside the church that affects my allergies with a headache. I’ve only attended twice. The first time was last year & the odor was even stronger. Today 9/19/21 was also strong. I wore my mask some but still could smell it. I took a Zyrtec to see if that would help but it didn’t. I want to continue to attend & bring our family because I really enjoy the preaching & the service. Maybe this issue can be addressed. I hope so! Thank you ❤️🙏

From the second I walked through the door, I felt "home." The singers, the pastor, the hospitality staff are welcoming, on point with message, and work to help you find your place, ensure that you feel as though you belong. Simply put, it is the most wonderful church I have ever attended . . . and that's an understatement.

My daughter and I visited with a friend during our last stay at the beach. Always like to have an opportunity to attend a good worship service even on vacation. Just the atmosphere we were looking for...warm and welcoming, anointed singing/music, and most importantly, good bible teaching/preaching from the Word of God.

Worship was wonderful,I expected a exspository message after worship, not a show and tell message with props.Being in the ministry for 40 years I see Gods house used as a entertainment center rather than Gods Holy Word from the Pastors Bible not the screen, have we gotten that lazy where we can’t even have the people open there bibles to the sermon.Remember this Gods House 🙌
