I attended this church several times in the past, they used to have a pianist who was quite extraordinary. Last time I went, there was a new guy at the piano, quite stiff and just going through the motions. Then the pastor stood up to explain why the guy was late for the service, due to a prior commitment to another church. The sermon itself faired no better. It focused on finding biblical justifications for the recent bombings on Iran's nuclear facilities, making referrences to the president's televized speech describing same. Personally, I don't find this type of preaching to be proclaiming God's Truth. To the contrary, it combined political motivations and bias with apparently clumsy attempts to fit them to a biblical narative. It appears the pastor had never heard of the well established principle that churches should not get involved in partisan politics.

I love this church their service and conviction of heart. Pastor Kessler is a wonderful human. He speaks from the heart and profess the faith on Christ. He is a scholar and I thank him for his years of military service to this wonderful country of ours. I love listing to the music each Sunday. (I’m in Texas by the way) I love the faithful old hymns but they throw in some no traditional hymns as well. What I love most is they no longer get play a bunch of secular music. There is a time and place for those but no in a worship service. And I greatly appreciate that. Thank you steaming each week. Keep it up. And if your reading thus and haven’t visited yet….. GO….. you won’t be sorry.

Me and my family always have the most heartwarming experience at North island Baptist! From the moment we walk in, we are welcomed with warmth and kindness of the community. It’s more than a church—it’s a family. Everyone is so genuine and welcoming, making you feel like you truly belong. Pastor Kessler is a fabulous pastor, the music touches and message feels personal and uplifting. Beyond the service, the sense of togetherness is incredible! Members of the church are always connecting, supporting, and encouraging one another every service! North island Baptist is where love and faith thrive, and it’s impossible not to leave feeling a sense of community and spiritualness. If you’re looking for a church filled with amazing people, look no further. Our family Highly recommend’s♥️

I guess I am more of the contemporary worship style type of guy, but even during traditional service here, it is just boring. The woman from the pulpit is singing those "old hymns" with such a shrieking voice, at some point actually losing her voice, that at some point it becomes painful to watch and listen to. The piano player looks like he is half asleep at the piano, however during offering keeping a watchful eye on the congregation, heaven forbid he plays an extra note in addition to what he is paid there to do. The sermon is so-so, I guess. Prefer Low Country Community Church by far.

Nobody welcomed me at the door. They used to have coffee and refreshments for new visitors. It is all gone now. I have attended quite a few of their services in the past, while being on vacation on Hilton Head. Some of the pastor's sermons focused on highly polarized issues like abortion. I didn't feel comfortable listening to such messages and the constant shouting from the pulpit, just trying to make a point. Very stagnant service, and horrible singing.I am not going back.
