After moving to the area I tried several churches. When I first came to Lugoff 1st Baptist, I was welcomed by everyone, and never looked any further for a church home. I found it here. …

The preaching here is top notch! Our family felt semi welcomed. Sadly a number of churches in this area do not have a welcoming committee or team at all and as guests it can leave a cold and stand offish feeling. We enjoyed the fact that one couple approached us and offered to get to know us better over lunch, the last church we were home to as well as our childhood churches were the types that did those types of things and it is so important, I believe its important that attending church should feel like a family reunion, very welcoming and open arms... We loved the children's instructor Keri. She is a ball of joy and light! And the pastor was very friendly! Being out of town often we have attempted twice since our visit to view the service online and you can't hear a single thing I suppose something they aren't aware of...at least yet. The only thing we didn't love was how much we felt stared at, with judgement, we both are fairly covered in tattoos and there didn't seem to be a single person with any we noticed. It was a fairly older crowd so I get it they have different views of it but a tattoo isn't something that represents someone's relationship with Jesus (especially being most of our art does reflect him) or how Jesus himself would treat anyone with them or that looked different in any other manner...but we would love to attend again and see it being a good local option for people to join.

We are blessed to be a part of the Lugoff First Baptist family. Pastor Doug preaches the true word and my daughters and I have a church family that loves and cares for us. It is a place where you can grow in God's word while serving others. We would love for you to join us!

I Love Lugoff First Baptist Church. The people are like extended family. We Pray for one another and share each others burdens. LFBC is a family oriented Church. There is AWANA for the children on Sunday evenings and there's a children's choir that does amazing plays a few times each year. LFBC is also a mission oriented Church with Operation Christmas Child, Angel Tree Ministry and Home& Foreign Missions such as Annie Armstrong, Janie Chapman and Little Moon. I love my Sunday School class, the music in Worship is fantastic and we have an Awesome Pastor-- Doug Huntsinger leading us in studying God's Word. If you don't have a Church, please come visit us at LFBC!

Lugoff 1st Baptist continues in valiant service and ministerial devotion to the Lord through song, praise, and community unity. The emphasis as Pastor Doug says is on a "passion for people" and genuine love of God, and commitment to the Great Commision Greatest Commandment.

A wonderful place to worship with fellow Christians. The Pastor preachs the Word. He doesn't front load or back load God's Word.

Came here to look for directions for a different church and a woman came up to me and told me I was in the right place. I wasn't though, I was looking for directions and the person who said that drove off, and I was still lost...
