Friendly place to worship. They have donuts and fellowship before Bible study. My children love it. After the worship service, there is more food and fellowship in the narthex. I was greeted by so many people that my wife and I joined the Kathwood family. We love the way they love our children.

My husband and I went to Kathwood Baptist Church for the first time on Easter, March 31, 2013. From the very first day, we were treated like true "family". I believe we were greeted by everyone that was there that day, and on Easter, it was quite a few. I, being from a Methodist, background and my husband, with a Southern Baptist background. We, thought this over, and decided this was something we both were comfortable with, and enjoyed very much. We had both been "out of church" for way too long. We decided to join, and on June 23th, 2013, we became members. To this day, we still are greeted like family, and hope that we are doing the same to others. When we started going, the church had an interim pastor, Reverend Mark Tidsworth, who is a great man and pastor. Approximately 3-4 weeks ago, our new pastor, Reverend Beth McConnell announced that it had already been one year since she had been our pastor. She has and is a wonderful woman, pastor, friend and "family member". I am so glad that we found Kathwood, and we found it through a friend/co-worker of my husband.. I feel very blessed to be able to say that I am a member of Kathwood, and that I have a wonderful Church Family there. If anyone is looking for a wonderful church, that is non-judgmental "inclusive" rather than exclusive, come check us out .....we would love to see you there. Services are Sundays at 11:00am, Sunday School is prior to the church service. Every Wednesday evening we get together for a great evening of supper and fellowship. Join us!!

A great moderate Baptist Church for those looking for a Southern Baptist alternative. We're locatred in the heart of Forest Acres on Trenholm Road in Columbia. Small (but growing), friendly, caring and missions oriented. Wonderful messages from our Pastor Beth McConnell and a great choir as well. There's definitely something for everyone at Kathwood!

We started attending Kathwood because they take theology and music seriously. Kathwood reminds me of the Baptist church I attended in the 70's without the guilt.
