F) I had to go to Kroger this morning, but I felt led by Jesus Christ to go to church because I’ve been desiring community. So I went to the nearest church close to me. Beforehand, I prayed for discernment and for the ability to fully understand today’s sermon. I was wearing a gray zip-up, jeans, and white sneakers, and I brought my Bible from my car. I walked in feeling positive and ready to hear the Word. I said good morning with a smile to some of the men holding the door. Almost immediately after walking in, I heard a man nearby behind me say that my outfit was sleazy. My spirit immediately shut down. As I walked in, I felt out of place. Still, I worshipped, lifted my hands, prayed, and felt the Holy Spirit with me. I cried partly because I felt Jesus comforting me after the comment that was made. The pastor’s message was nice. He spoke about Matthew 2:1–12 and shared some good points. Overall, the experience was okay, but that comment definitely made me feel sad. I usually dress up for church, but this was a last-minute decision. It was almost 9:00 a.m., with only six minutes to spare. Jesus doesn’t look at outward appearance; He looks at the heart. I wasn’t showing any skin or wearing anything flashy or distracting. Yes, I could have worn a dress, but I felt led by Jesus to go to church at that exact moment. If I’m in church dressed nice and someone comes into a church wearing an outfit like the one I was wearing judgement of their clothes wouldn’t even come to my mind just happy I would just be happy that people are attending church. I forgive whoever made that comment and I’m praying for this church as a whole the other people seemed nice. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this church, but I will continue going to church and growing closer to God.

I attended here several times, but was never greeted personally. The children’s programs were lacking any gospel and structure. The music was too loud. The services were all “feel good” sermons without any real conviction.

East Lake brought me to Jesus and for that I will be forever grateful. They stay true to the Bible with teachings that impact every day life. They are a family to those attending and truly believe what they espouse- Love God, Love People.

Didn't attend a church service here, so I cannot speak to it's impact. However, I did attend a meeting there. Building is clean, and has plenty of Parking.

We enjoyed our visit here. The people seemed to be genuinely Christian. The teaching was great. The musicians played contemporary worship music. The teacher valued the time of the participants so the program was not too long. People wore t-shirts that expressed a desire to serve others. Communion was served so maybe this is a weekly thing. Actual communion was partaken of after the program as fellowship with food followed the program/service on this particular date. I observed that there was mention of a female/woman with the office of elder. Grateful for the Biblical and right view of women in leadership here. A 5 minute business meeting did not detract or take time from the program. The only thing I was not overly fond of was all of the shorts people of my age and stature wore. There were a group of senior women very well dressed, though. I do myself wear shorts when I am in the yard in the Summer time. However, I’m not a fan of overly casual dressing during an assembly of adults who are of the age/maturity of eldership in a congregation. I have been a devout Christian most of my life and when the Holy Spirit anointed me with the role of elder in His Body of Christian Community, the role came with His direct appointment on how I was to dress. I can’t imagine that He is directing these people (my age) to wear shorts in an assembly….but, maybe He is. My husband thinks this is a church solely to evangelize the “lake crowd”. So, maybe shorts are the summer uniform. May God Bless His Body Here.

Me, my Grandson and my 2 friends started attending East Lake a few months ago and we love it!!! The people, the messages and the music is great! The children’s church is awesome too! When we leave each Sunday we all have joy in our hearts! Thanks East Lake! ❤️

This is a very friendly and welcoming church with a more modern style of worship. I attend this church regularly while I am in the area with the rest of my family. While this is not a church I have attended extensively while being away at college, I have heard very good things about it, and it seems to be a very good church home for anyone comfortable with a contemporary style of worship. They have two year round services at 9:30 and 11:00 am on Sunday mornings, and one service at 8:00 am that does not meet during the summer. They also have small groups that meet at various times throughout the week. Childcare is provided via Sunday school for certain young ages during services.

Great church and atmosphere. Great kids program from birth to 7th grade on Sunday mornings. We like the 8am service but also have a 9:30 and 11am service. Contemporary service with an awesome live band. The multiple pastors are awesome as well.

I can enjoy the service, but my watch constantly gives warning that the music decibels are hearing damaging. There are ear plugs available, but they shouldn't be that necessary.

Amazingly layed-out place. Kind, open pastors. After service prayer corners. Kids and teens love it, big play room for little kids, and consoles before service for older kids. Overall, an amazing place!

would rate 0 stars if could. they do not preach the word of any of god, this church is VERY non accepting. Banned my little sister for rumors before she was even aware what was being said about her. CULT
