We started visiting churches after being in Charleston for a few years and after visiting a few, we were invited to Citadel Square. We live in Ravenel and I didn't picture us attending a church downtown, but we really loved the first week and my wife pointed out the stick for 6 on the bulletin, so we did. Several years later we are still here and love it. Whats been most important: 1. the teaching is consistently good, challenging, inspiring, and I have grown. 2. While the music is not for me, its our worship to God, it is always good. 3. The children's ministry is solid, we have only experienced middle and high school age ministry. 4. We have met dear friends and we feel like we are part of a family.

Absolutely love this church. Haven’t found a church anywhere like it. Bible preaching is shared each Sunday with such humility. We are adequate equipped and encouraged to dive deeper into the Word individually.

Youth Pastor John is very rude. I went out of my way when his wife asked me to stop by and talk to him, and he slammed the door in my face before I spoke one word. I would not want someone so unpleasant teaching my children.

Very friendly church people. Excellent Biblically based sermons, regardless who is preaching.

The congregation and staff are very friendly. The church seems to have passionate and knowledgeable leadership. Just your typical Southern Baptist Church.

Loved it. Went there for Sunday service while on vacation. Very welcoming to strangers. Wore shorts and a t-shirt and didn't feel out of place.

Solid biblical preaching with relevant application. Leadership that is not afraid to be transparent and real. God is using Citadel Square to renew and heal.

Music did not inspire me. Not very participatory. This is said after multiple visits. Preaching is consistently good. Maybe a leaning towards Calvinist.
