Great church and great people. I came in town from Chicagoland for the 19th annual Calvary Chape of Lexington Men's Conference and was impressed with how organized it was. It was a spectacular time. The worship music was top tier and the guest Pastor's who delivered sermons were outstanding. I'd definitely go back. Thank you CC Lexington!

Calvary Chapel is a great church to make your church home. The buildings are a bit unorthodox on the outside but very traditional on the inside. Acoustics are great and the sound system is perfect to amplify the excellent worship and pastor/speakers. The worship team on Sundays consists of drummer, lead guitar, acoustic guitar, base, piano or keyboard, one or two female vocals that are excellent and the male vocal is the acoustic guitarist. They sing mostly current contemporary worship songs with an occasional hymn or song from the 90’s to early 2000’s. This church teaches verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book through old and New Testament using the NASB95 Bible. Pastor Hoppe ( pronounced hoppy) teaches new testament on Sundays 9am and 11am and pastor Travis, Dr Andre from CIU and Pastor Steve alternate week to week teaching on Wednesday nights at 7. In the summer Calvary Chapel provides a family dinner night on Wednesdays at 6 pm under the outdoor pavilion. The food varies from pulled pork, tacos, BBQ chicken and pork tenderloin. Saturday mornings at 7:30 am the church provides a free breakfast for men in the cafe and women in the children’s church building followed by a 45 minute Bible study. They also have various home groups and ladies meetings on campus durning the week. Calvary Chapel also has a food pantry open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9am to 4pm, a homeless outreach that takes place once a month at Christ Central in Columbia, and an evangelism outreach that takes place in Red Bank once a month, a prayer team email chain and other ministries. A Spanish speaking church meets in the cafe Sundays at 11 am and a Spanish Bible study meets in the cafe on Thursday evenings headed by Pastor Gameliel Cruz. The staff and volunteers at Calvary Chapel and greeters are friendly and engaging and there is ample security to protect all family members no matter where they are on campus.

I was fortunate enough to find the Calvary Chapel food pantry whereby you actually get to select your own food. This food pantry has now replaved my previous food pantry bc the quality of the food . Although i was able to go there 2xs a month ; and i can only go here 1x a month ; i find the staff is friendly and compassionaye and caring. It is a mich more up close and petsonal expetoence. I would highly recpmmend this food pantry. I did try the worship experoence and dinner here. It wasn't exactly for me. Thats ok. I have a church family where i am happy . I did at least like that it was non demoninational. I am lutheran. I am accustomed to a more formal style of worship.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING especially the youth group, Leaders, pastors, everyone is super nice and welcoming. The retreats are great and every year gets better, the 2025 spring retreat is the best retreat yet, 2026 EVEN BETTER and amazing teaching, love it and would absolutely recommend the youth group!

My wife daughter and I moved to Lexington from NJ and visited Calvary on 9/21/25. Having served in various ministries we had expectations of how it would be in our fathers house but were highly disappointed. We parked and arrived and when we go to the welcome area no one welcomed or even acknowledged us. Instead we just got the looks as if we had 3 heads. We go to the door and w the exception of one older gentleman we again didn’t get any type of welcome. We were left to walk without any idea of where we could or couldn’t sit. We sat towards the left/mid front and sang along w the worship. As a first time visitor and as a child of God I had an expectation of being welcomed in as if it was a family reunion but it did not happen. The service finished and we left without having interacted w anyone at all. We then walked to the “Welcome Center” to see if we could speak with anyone but it was empty. We then asked a gentleman that was standing there and he stated “I don’t know anything, I’m just the idiot doing security”. We so badly wanted the church to be our home due to how close it was for us but it didn’t give us a reason to make it home. I don’t share this as a critique but rather as the viewpoint of someone that isn’t a member there so that it doesn’t repeat itself w the next guests.

I attended the Deep South All Mens Conference. First time ever at a church Conference expecting an all men’s conference a space for men to bond, fellowship, and grow in faith together. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to see women present both on stage and in the store. While I respect their involvement, it took away from the experience of having a truly men-only environment. Part of what makes a men’s conference special is being able to open up, share, and connect without distraction. I don’t feel like that was fully possible here, and it left me feeling like the event didn’t match what was advertised. If the goal is to host a men’s conference, I’d recommend honoring that fully so men can bond in the way intended

Enjoy listening to Pastor John and Pastor Mike on reading the Bible, verse by verse. Easy to follow their teachings as they break it down for us. Very grateful for this church!
