  I have attended some great churches in the past but Awaken stands above all. You can really feel the Spirit of God in this place. Everything is centered around bringing glory to Jesus from the preaching to the worship to the way everyone interacts with and loves on each other. If you are looking for a casual, real place to grow in your faith, this is the church for you!

  Me and my family have attended Awaken for 2 and a half years. When we moved to the columbia area, we had tried a couple churches but found they were either too big or only cared about their image. We decided to attend awaken on sunday and we were greeted by a few people and I just feel in love with the church. They center everything on the bible and prayer. You can never have too much prayer. Its not too big and not too small. They don't care what people wear. Just come as you are! Its a very welcoming family that just loves to love on the church body.

  Three years ago my wife and I moved to the Columbia area. I anticipated it would take us 6-9 months to settle upon a church. We attended Awaken Church during our second week. We were greeted by the warmest group of people I have ever encountered at church. The worship service--music, preaching, and more-- was biblically-centered. The pastor preached from Romans 9 and my heart was deeply moved by what I heard. As we drove home, I asked my wife if she thought we should continue to visit churches. She said she did not see any need which was exactly what I was thinking. God had shown us where we needed to be. The past three years have over and over confirmed our decision. The Bible is at the center of everything the church does. Church leadership and members are held accountable to one another in a spirit of love and support. Small groups deepen relationships between members. The church is engaged in numerous ministries in the community reaching ages from childen to senior adults. Last week a group from our church returned from a week-long mission to Romania. Yesterday others were visiting in new sub-divisions praying for people and letting them know we cared about them. Today we had a fellowship luncheon at church. We are gearing up to have a strong disciple-making emphasis going forward in our church. At Awaken Church you will be loved and multiple doors will be available for you to deepen your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, you should join us one Sunday to get a taste of what is happening. To God be the glory!

  My family & I have gone to a lot of churches, but Awaken is the one that feels like home. The other partners here, make us to be family. This church preaches the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Awaken is our home now!

  Such an amazing family-friendly wholesome church. This church is all about family and you feel that from when you enter the church and leave or go to any event that they host. The preacher's teaching always feel like they hit the spot and they have disciple groups, youth and young adults groups, and womens and mens bible studies throughout the week to keep you in tune with the lord's word. This is a wholesome church and highly recommend you come out and experience this fantastic church!

  I visited Awaken Church for the first time this Sunday and am so glad I did. The atmosphere was welcoming, sincere, and very prayer-focused, which was such a joy to be part of. The worship team was excellent and set a great tone for the service, and the pastors and people I met are strong Bible-believing Christians who clearly care about people as individuals. The sermon I heard centered on how the Bible and devouring God's Word must be the foundation of any Christian life, very solid preaching. Also the church is big enough, with the right mix of people to feel alive and full of energy, but small enough that it doesn’t feel overwhelming or megachurch-y. Feels like a place where you can be personally known and cared for while receiving Scripture-focused worship, preaching, discipleship and community. 5/5, would recommend, Christ is exalted here. Excited to come back next time I'm in town on a Sunday

  New here (less than a month) and this may well be the best church I've ever attended. Welcoming and genuinely friendly people, true bible based preaching, no rush to leave, dont feel awkward when I'm late, not too big, not too small. Lovely church.

  If you are looking for a church you should give Awaken a try. We moved to Columbia and started attending Awaken because our daughter and her family go there. We have been so happy. You always feel welcomed. It doesn’t take long to feel like family. The teaching is awesome. Straight out of the Bible and applicable to life. The children’s program and youth are great. I know because we have 6 grandchildren participating in them.

  Welcome Home is so much more than signage on a wall. Awaken has shown us what family is truly all about. Week in and week out we remain in biblical community “doing life together”. Awaken studies and preaches Gods word passionately, remains missional in the community, and simply loves every soul they encounter. This is the example of the church we read about in Acts. Our family is blessed to call this church HOME.

  This church is warm and inviting. The people here feel like family. You don't feel judged at Awaken. Come as you are. The pastor is amazing and you can tell that he truly loves what he does. There are great was to get connected and you can get a real sense of community here. Come check it out!

  Awaken Columbia is the best church I’ve ever had the privilege of attending. The friends I’ve made are sure to be life long. The teaching I receive is straight from the Bible. I’d never want to go anywhere else!
