I have been going here for years now. I won't attend another church. I grew up Catholic, this was my first non-denominational church and I am grateful to my friend that recommended it. The kids and my teenagers love it here as well. Their programs and community service opportunities are also amazing. I can't say enough about how wonderful this church is. It truly feels like an extended family that genuinely cares about you and your family. You're not a number or just a filled seat here. The men at this church are also great support systems for other men. Small groups are also very supportive and intimate. Like I said, I wouldn't attend anywhere else.

Very disappointed with this “church.” Went expecting love and true Christians. While the staff seemed pleasant, albeit without much interaction, the pastor was incredibly self motivated politically and seemingly forgot the reason he’s in his spot to begin with. Went on preaching about his daughter seeing a rainbow flag, and him being perturbed that another church would display it. People who live by that identity, may have never experienced Christ, must be so turned off from experiences like this, which is an exact contradiction to the love the Lord provides us. If you seek a judgmental, self righteous church, you’ve found your spot. But as a straight married man, I was disappointed that this place strayed so far from Jesus himself, who hung around with the destitute, the needy, and the poor. Realign yourselves to love. To acceptance. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

This place is very much like any other church in Charleston groups are cliquey. The one small group i went to here was ok but the final staw that was broken when last weeks service only married couple can come up and get blessings and prayers. Im sure if God wanted someone to come to him married or unmarried for issuies you would be welcomed doesnt need to be said in a service even if its gear towards couples anyone should be able to come up. Limiting what god broken centurys ago an tore the vail for that reason for access to him. This is very much like the sanhedrin with putting that out their for sure won't be coming back now. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk I will give you that door your group never showed me. (James 2:1-4 & 9) (Galatians 3:28)(Acts 10:34) (Hebrews 10:19-20)(Matthew 23:4 & 13) (Colossians 2:20-23)(Luke 11:52 )as per your last service a week ago Marragie statement vs from God and his purpose as you put out in the sermon God himself couldnt come up. 1 Corinthians 7:8 & 32-35 1 Corinthians 12:22-25 This is excluding others of access. I came in with contrishian that day for these to happen. People are thursty for God your prior reviews show this is a problem dating back years ago warnings have been given to you in many forms forms 7-8 years ago the problem is still their. The cliqueiness must stop at the door of any small group.

Easter Sunday at Awaken Church was incredible! The worship team was amazing, the message was uplifting, and my favorite part was the greeter who made me feel so genuinely welcomed. I told a couple of friends to come to the later service, and they loved it just as much—they couldn’t stop talking about how great the church was. If you’re looking to get connected in a church that truly cares about its congregation, definitely check out Awaken Church. You won’t be disappointed!

I had a very positive experience with the members of the church and plenty of encouragement to get involved. They also had plenty of options for getting involved in the church. I met with the assistant pastor but not the lead pastor. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They also had an introduction briefing telling more about the church, it didn't feel rushed, and the message was easy to understand.

Pastor Brandon and the folks at Awaken are really offering what the world needs. Preachings from the Good News, honesty, and hope!! The worship team also does an amazing job. Side note: if the music is too loud they offer ear plugs at the door. Let's just say if you haven't been, make it a top priority and I hope to see you in Heaven one day!! I'm a 100% satisfied member of something I wanted no part of in the beginning. Thanks for saving my life and soul Awaken, I love you all!!

I overheard a conversation my coworker(Jim) was having with someone else and interjected and ask about his church and the new sermon series that was starting so I’ve decided to come and check it out..😍 such a blessing EVERY Sunday I’ve been blessed with a great word and convicted on the same word… Worship team is awesome and the atmosphere is genuine.. I also joined a small group totally out of my comfort zone. I’m getting to know an amazing group of young ladies. I’ll be in new members on the 22nd can’t wait to make this official. It’s been a rough few years for me and family… it’s feels good to get back on track spiritually and mentally. Great place to be solid teachings.

My church is open and welcoming to anyone. It is casual and friendly. The Worship music is good and preaching is the best. All scriptural, all the time. Come visit and find out how you can have a personal relationship with Jesus, and meet people who love the Lord

Friendly from the moment I striped through the doors. So many smiles. I stop and visit many churches on my travels around the USA. There are good churches and then there are the great one like this one. The Holy Spirit is doing a work here. Pastor is down to earth and spoke to me for a few minutes.

This church has so much potential . The greeters were very welcoming and worship service was AWSOME! The male guitarist did well and the dimmed lights made the experience GREAT. Where it went downhill fast was when the pastor gave this long introduction to his “friend” the guest speaker. He started off showing pics of his family and then giving financial life stories. I was so ready to hear the gospel and learn but he never delivered. He was selling a book and the entire sermon was based off of his book, which the main pastor said and I quote “I unapologetically ask everyone here to purchase his book the QR code is on the back of everyone’s chair” this is NOT place for a commercial! It's lost and dehydrated souls that needed a word from God and you guys did not deliver. I hope I get to visit again and the sermon preached is just as good or better than the worship service.
