This was a fun experience to have been part of! I had been talking about this place for a while now, and what I saw when I got in there was not what I was expecting! That's not anything negative! I had no idea what I was expecting, and I love the dark, earthy tones of this place! It felt like I was underground with how dark it was in there, and I had actually climbed a couple stairs to get into the sanctuary from the front doors, and I was very much above ground! It took me a while to get acclimated to where I was at in there, and to take in everything around me, but I love this place nonetheless! The parishioners were so sweet, and on this particular day, they were doing some fellowship downstairs in their hall, and one of the ladies there was explaining how to use an AED, and how to do CPR, and I, already being knowledgeable about it, offered to help with the demonstration, and they were happy to see that they had another one so knowledgeable in this effort, and I explained a few more details to clarify the simplified instructions. Everything went over very well, and Reverend Chafee had even sent me an email after I visited thanking me for coming and said that I was welcome to join them again if I wanted to! Nice!! I definitely will be returning at some point!!
